One of the best views of the Coloardo River is at this house. This
single story home offers views from the kitchen and living across
the windows that spread across the house. Or take a seat out side
on the extra large patio and watch the boats drive by while
listening to music. The home was remolded in 2006 and everything in
the home is new. Home offers an plenty of parking that will fit all
your cars, trucks, and trailers you bring. Home is located on a
private road with gates, so no one can disturb your perfect summer
gateway. With in walking distances to the bars and restaurants, this
home is great for anyone. Again this home offers the best view of
the Colorado River.
The home was very spacious and clean. The living room was a great size and sleeps 6 people comfortably. There is also a great view over looking the river which can be seen through the living room windows or the outside patio area. The home comes with a shared dock that is only a short 3 minute walk. My family has been staying at this home for the past 3 years on major holidays and we definitely plan on coming back and staying at this home!
We had a great time at the river and enjoyed the home. sitting on the deck watching the sunset after being on the water all day was a highlight. the home is very comfortable with plenty of parking. The boat dock access by foot was a little confusing but we made or way down. I would definitely stay here again.
Overall a nice place to stay. The Good: Has its own Dock, 2 full bathrooms, a great view of the river and is walking distance to the bar. This is our second stay and it has been good both times. The not so good: Difficult to get your larger boat or trailer backed in next to house. If you are good at it, easy enough, but if you are new/green, very tough... The view Deck needs a little TLC... Just sanding and staining... Kids picked up a couple of splinters... No Biggy though, just told em they had to wear flip flops at all times... Limited cooking utensils, No sheets, no bathrooms supplies. Overall a bit pricey for what it is... BUT... If you know all of that going in, then I highly recommend it...
This house is perfect for a weekend at the river!! Lots of living room space with an amazing view. The 2 bedrooms aren't huge but big enough for 4 people each. Bathrooms are clean and kitchen has lots of counter space. Parking was a little difficult because it is at the back of the lane and the other occupants have a lot of "stuff" cluttering the road in. Dock works well for 2 people but the path is a little rough. The owners are very easy to work with and are helpful! Will definitely be renting from them again.
Everything was as advertised and every expectation was met. I grew up going to Martinez/Fishers and now my kids will have the same memories. There was plenty of secure parking (cars/trucks, boats, and toys), and an awesome panoramic view of the River. The property easily accommodated two full families. We will re-book for next year and plan to make this place a part of our summer vacation every year for as long as possible.
This property has everything you and your family will need for a safe and fun getaway!
Recently stayed here with a large group for a weekend at the river. The house met our basic needs but overall is in pretty rough shape. The house will sleep a large number of people but not very comfortably. There are two bedrooms; one with a bunk bed and one with a queen sized bed. In the living room there are two futon style couches and then three additional futon mattresses piled in a corner. I have seen cleaner futons in dorms rooms.
There are no blankets or linens provided so everyone must bring their own bedding. The floors in the house are trashed. The carpet is dirty and the kitchen floor is a faux wood that is literally coming apart at the seems. The bathroom floors are rotting. There we no towel bars in the bathrooms. We also had issues from the moment we arrived with the toilets not properly flushing. This seems to be a known problem as there are plungers strategically placed next to each toilet.
Cooking on the range and using the oven proved to be frustrating. The oven took FOREVER to heat up and only one burner on the range top seemed to heat properly.
The deck is of a nice size and offered a great view of the river / lake and there was ample parking to accomodate the multiple vehicles and two boats that were with our group. The house is difficult to find as the road is not really marked and is basically just a driveway back to the property shared with 2-3 other houses and very crowded.
The house comes with access to a boat dock which is supposed to be marked but proved very difficult to find. The trail to the dock is downright dangerous and difficult to navigate while carrying anything. The ground was very rough and the path was overgrown with Cacti and thorn bushes. The beach near the house belongs to other homes and is off limits. There is no direct water access from this property.
Overall the house met our basic needs and sheltered a large group for the weekend. However, the statement that "everything is new" may have held true in 2006 but this place has seen it's fair share of guests since anything was new. The general condition of everything was just pretty beat up. The surrounding area consists of a few nicely maintained properties and a lot of run down, neglected vacation properties and RV's. There is a bar & grill that is walking distance. Fishers is a short drive away but it would be wise to bring EVERYTHING you need with you.
The Lower Colorado River area is a mecca for water enthusiasts.
Fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, waterskiing and pleasure
boating are some
of the features of this area.
Jetboat and Paddlewheeler excursions depart from Fisher's Landing.
Ride the exciting Jetboat upriver 17 miles to Norton's Landing. Or
take a leisure Paddle boat trip down river to Imperial Dam. Both
historic tours are narrated and lunch is included.
5 minutes away is the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge. This
birding sanctuary is especially active during the winter months as
it is a popular flyway for the migrating birds.
Excellent hiking trails are everywhere.
For the offroad adventurer there are many miles of remote desert to
be explored, as well as some old mining areas from the late 1800's.
The scenery is so diverse that photographers are delighted when they
come to this area. Catch a mountain/desert sunrise or sunset coming
across the water and your picture will be postcard perfect.
There are many popular restaurants in Yuma including Applebees,
Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, just to name a few. With a brand
