The Sea Ya Later is a small intimate vacation haven offering relaxation and privacy. This Pet Friendly gulf front home is one of the most adorable homes on the beach. It is tastefully decorated with personal touches and more than adequate furnishings with a mixture of new furnishings and Florida decor.

The kitchen is fully furnished and has a large island with eating area and bar stools. Lots of cupboards, smooth top range, ice maker, crock pot, electric frying pan and adequate pots and pans and dishes.

The Living room is roomy with a leather couch and several comfortable chairs, cable TV, hi-speed internet, Free secure wi-fi, and free long distance to US.

The Master bedroom is located on the beach side with a great view. There is a sliding glass door right out to the deck and a view of the Gulf. There was a review stating that the sliding doors were hard to slide. Those have been repaired. It sports a king bed, comfortable chair, ceiling fan and large closet. Step out for a fantastic view of the beach. If watched closely you will see dolphins playing in the surf.

The second bedroom has a queen bed and ceiling fan, a large closet and a full bath. Access to the loft is a spiral staircase where there are two twin beds a dresser and a game table.

There is a nice porch right outside the master bedroom with a counter for you enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine at sunset. An open deck awards you with a most delightful vista of white sandy beaches, dolphins swimming by and magnificent sunsets.

The home is furnished nicely with comfortable furnishings, good lighting and a desk for your computer. We have a full sized washer, dryer and an enclosed outdoor hot/cold outdoor shower. There is plenty of parking under the home with room for a boat also.

We furnish free long distance to USA. Dog friendly, up to 40 pounds only. Please do not bring a cat. Owner is very allergic. House sleeps a maximum of 6 guests only. No exceptions. Non-smoking

Enjoy the beach which is loaded with shells and is great for surf fishing. It is not unusual to see dolphins swimming by close to shore. The home faces the West so the sunsets are fantastic. There is surfing, kayaking, golfing, hiking, fishing, boating, biking on a nice bike trail and many other activities on the Cape. Visit the rental shop for many great rental items. Rent horses for a romantic moon light ride on the beach at sunset.

For your vacation needs, a very adequate store called the Trading Post is right around the corner. It provides groceries, great take out pizza, a small cafe, fishing and boating supplies, and much more. There is a nice grocery store in Port St. Joe called the Piggly Wiggly and several restaurants. Sea Ya Later is about 2 1/2miles from the St.Joe State Park where you can go exploring and snorkeling on the Bay or explore the dunes on the Gulf side. The park also has a nice boat ramp with access to St. Joe Bay. Apalachicola is about a 20 minute drive and sports many small shops and historical interest. Be sure to check out the great seafood there also.

by the sea with us. It has been a relaxing vacation. We had variations of weather from the 60's to the 80's. To get to experience the remnants of hurricane slam the houses and back to blue skies and 80's was amazing. Climbed the St George island lighthouse, at fresh Gulf Shores shrimp, collected lotsof sea shells and saw a bald eagle at the wild life refuge. Relaxed on the beach with our pug dogs who were not impressed with the waves! This is a lovely place and we hope to return.

Loved this place!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Sea Ya Later in October 2015. I could have sworn I wrote a review, but I do not see it on here. Maybe I am just thinking about the guest book. :-) Anyway, this place was amazing. It was clean, cute, cozy, fully equipped with everything you need for a great little beach get-away. We were there for the remnants of Hurricane Patricia so we got to experience beautiful blue skies and calm seas to wild and stormy waves with howling winds and back to blue skies and calm seas. It was great to experience both. We saw a bald eagle, which we did not expect. The owners were great to work with! Our pugs enjoyed it too. ;-) Everything about this place is wonderful and we hope to come back. ~ Roger, Missy and puggies

My home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

For the past three years I have stayed at Sea Ya Later during the winter season and plan to return again next year. It is perfect for me and my dog with a beautiful beach and ocean right outside the door. The house is a simple and basic beach house with all the amenities that I need. The rental service was quick to respond when several light bulbs burnt out and even put in a new mail box when I realized that my mail forwarding was in jeopardy without one. Since I have some mobility problems, they even sent a nice young man to help me unload my car and help me settle in for my stay so that I could avoid hauling stuff up the stairs! The review from 2012 does not reflect the improvements the owners made a few years ago and they recently put in a new flat screen in the living room which made streaming videos possible for me. There were lots of nice towels and plenty of cookware, dishes and utensils. Don't expect the upscale amenities a higher priced place will provide and you won't be disappointed. I enjoy the privacy, solitude and ability to do absolutely nothing while I am there and look forward to it each year. The grocery store in Port St. Joe has everything you need and the best steaks and seafood you could eat!

Everything is perfect!

We have been staying at the Sea Ya later for 3 weeks and have made all of these improvements as the house suffered from hard wear and tear over the past year.

Painted interior and exterior, added more kitchen cabinets, refinished floors, added king bed, updated queen mattress, flat screen TV in master, new phone system, Grated driveway, new bathroom ceiling, added exterior lighting, new roof, extended roof over entryway, repaired boardwalk, new screens, repaired sliding door, new bathroom ceiling fan, new silverware, new electrical outlets, more books in book library. repaired couch and cushions.

The Sea ya Later is just like new again and we proud of being able to offer you an adorable home with a great view and everything else you need to have a great vacation.

Would not recommend

Rented the first week of October 2012. This house was not well represented The pictures the show must have been taken many years ago. It stinks, has black mold on the ceiling in master bath and lots of water damage on the ceilings throughout, there was dog hair everywhere when we arrived, the wood floors are very dirty, the "rug" in the den area is a piece of carpet remanent with strings hanging off of it, the refrigerator is covered in rust on the outside and has been duck-taped together on the inside, also not very cold. You get 2 very inexpensive towels in each bedroom and one dish towel & cloth in kitchen. The sliding glass doors were hard to open and the screens were off when we arrived and came off very easily when used. The charcoal grill has a coat hanger for the handle on the lid. The only think that was good about the stay was the beach - very nice, lots of shells and not crowded.

great little house

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year to rent this house. We stayed one month last year and two months this year. The owners and rental company are attentive to anything needing attention. The house was clean, not perfect but clean. It's in a great location off the main road, so it's very quiet. And it's right on the beach. It's perfect for my wife and I and our two pups. There's only 5 steps to negotiate to take them out for their "rest stops". There's plenty of room under the house for our vehicle and small cargo trailer. A grest convenience store is less than a half mile away. Csble TV is good and the wireless internet is fast and reliable. It's a nice home, not brand new, not fancy but very nice and very functional and VERY comfy.
