Great location away from the congested tourist area, but very close to everything.
Our family was together for a late holiday celebration. The house was big enough to fit us all in! We enjoyed the large dining area and more than enough beds. We were able to get to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg in minutes!
Thanks so much!
This place was perfect for our Christmas vacation in williamsburg. Big house about 5 minute drive to colonial williamsburg and 10 minute drive to busch gardens. Also a short walk to grocery store, playground, great restaurants (antonios, shorty's and Emily's are great). The furniture was a bit worn but with kids and dogs, I didn't mind. I only wished they had a fenced in yard because the house is on a busy corner.
First of all, the location is fabulous! Less than ten minutes from the Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center and a 15-20 minutes drive down the GORGEOUS colonial parkway to Yorktown and Jamestown. My husband had to stay back to work a couple of days and so he took an UBER drive to meet up with us later that afternoon in Colonial Williamsburg. He said the fair was only $6! Also, there is a grocery store and a RedBox right around the corner so I could not have been happier with the location.
The house is comfortable and is amply furnished. I thought our bed was very comfortable and I heard from other guests that they were very comfortable too. It’s true, as the pictures indicate, that the furniture is dated and everything looks a little worn. But, honestly, it just brought me back to visiting my grandparents and added to the charm of the whole experience. And it also made the house feel that much more welcoming to me with my brood of little children.
Speaking of children, I really appreciated the small portable highchair and portable crib that was there for our use! My older kids also enjoyed several of the board games too. The upstairs bedroom was a perfect kid’s room - so much space!
The house itself actually felt quite large. We were a party of 6 adults, 4 small children and 2 infants and there was plenty of space for us to hang out, eat together around the dining table, and get ready for the day with ease. The porch room was an awesome bonus - my husband worked at a table in there most of the warmer days.
The owners were very responsive and very easy to work with. I was very happy with my experience with them.
I’m summary, the house is older and the furniture reflects quite a few years of loving wear and tear, but for the price, space, and location this property is hard to beat!
This home has a great location, just 10 minutes from Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg and approximately 20 minutes from Jamestown and Yorktown. It's a roomy house with a great layout and is equipped with everything you need to make yourself at home.
We had a wonderful stay....the house is more spacious than it looks in the pictures. We found the house charming and relaxing and well stocked. The weather was very warm outside and the air conditioning had no problem keeping up. Overall it was a wonderful time and we will definitely stay again when we revisit the area. Thanks!
