Convenient home base for Williamsburg
This home was a convenient spot for our family (including two toddlers and grandparents from out of town) to explore colonial Williamsburg. The home was more spacious than expected, close to grocery stores, and a very short drive from the colonial areas. It’s also just a few min from a little beach (off the parkway that leads to Jamestown), which was perfect for our kids.
Our only minor complaints:
Toilet paper supply was pretty low when we checked in, and many of the dishes were dirty. They appeared to have been run through the dishwasher without any pre-rinsing by prior guests, so there were bits of old food to scrub off.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay here!
Property was a comfortable 4 bedroom home, conveniently located to historic Williamsburg. Just what we were looking for for our group of 4 couples. It did not disappoint.
Dirty and unkempt
The photos completely misrepresent this property. The yard and exterior were a mess with spider webs around the porch chairs and above the door. The inside was dirty and not ready for renters. Mold on the dishwasher, dirt and food stains on cabinets and fridge, musty and stained towels and bedding, food in cabinets gave impression of someone living there. We contacted the owner and the property manager. The mgr arrived with some towels and two cleaning products; however, by then we had done more looking and discovered dirty bathrooms and questionable stains on the master bedroom comforter. We decided we couldnt stay due to the condition. So we left. The owner is unwilling to refund our money despite numerous calls to VRBO, emails to her and photos taken and sent to her and VRBO. I have rented several properties thru VRBO with good results and always leave the home in excellent condition. Avoid this place.
Warm Liveable Space
We enjoyed the house for a small family reunion in Colonial Williamsburg. The house was roomy with a kitchen well-stocked for cooking. The house has updated appliances and bath, but could still use a little loving care. First impressions could be deceiving, but the house grows on you. A welcoming binder of house and area instructions would be helpful. A morning coffee supply and bar soap would have been good upon arrival. A few more hangers and kitchen knives would be good. Linens were ample, but could be upgraded and better organized (King fitted-sheets don't really work on Queen Bed.)
The location was a little noisy, but very convenient for the Colonial Area commute. Overall we loved the space and stay and highly recommend it to others.( 4.5 out of 5.0)

Convenient Location; Great Communications; House=Shabby
We stayed at the house to go to Busch Gardens and the location was very close and convenient. The grocery, gas, ABC and good food choices were very close by. The house was mostly stocked with all you need for a few days and if not the grocery or dollar store are five minutes away.
Communication with owner was excellent. The arrival and departure were smooth. The house was older and not super clean. It was neat, but dusty. The linens smelled a bit of must. There were a few leaks in the sunroom and some decay on porch. It’s needs a little TLC. I would also recommend an upgrade to a smart tv. The TVs were at least fifteen years old. My only major complaint is the abysmal water pressure in the main floor shower.
All in all, it worked for our needs. It was a bit pricey for what we got but since location was top of our priorities, this was a winner.
Thank you, Martha for your feedback. We very much appreciate it.

There are numerous activities in Williamsburg. There are many golf
courses, plenty of areas for fishing, lots of shopping and dining and
of course the amusement parks. We have the Outlet Malls, The
Williamsburg Pottery, The Marquis, New Town, High Street, Richmond
Road, the historic Duke of Gloucester Street and many other areas for
shopping and entertainment. There are also many Christmas shopping
specials during the months of November and December at the Prime
Outlets, The Williamsburg Pottery and The Outlet Mall.
