Important: my minimum rental period is 30 days - my maximum rental period is 90 days. This is my own home where I live when I am not in my home in the Hamptons.
This SUMMER I am giving a $600 discount on the monthly rent for seniors 55+ (certain restrictions apply)* With this discount, the nightly rate drops to about $107!
The house is across from our own private park!
Approx. 1400 sq. ft., the home is filled with original Art, Antiques and Artistic Touches. This is not your regular vacation rental!
Master Bedroom has own bathroom, patio, king-size bed, ceiling fan.
2nd Bedroom has a small patio, queen-size bed. Ceiling fan & portable AC.
Dining Area (seating for 5) opens to the living room with a French door that leads to a patio.
The Spacious Living room has a fireplace, portable AC and ceiling fan
CableTV (Local & Major Networks only)
There is no parking in the garage. There is parking for 2 cars in driveway.
The house is cool in the summer because of all the shady trees and the breezes from the Pacific Ocean - you just open the windows - but for those few really hot days, I have put in portable ACs in for the living room and there is a portable AC in the bedroom with the queen bed.
.microwave, coffeemaker, coffee grinder, blender, crockpot, Cuisinart - kitchen should have most of your cooking needs.

'This home is just that - 'a home'. With the first step through the entry gate a sense of peace is taken in. The inside is wonderfully decorated and well taken care of. The outside gardens are a peace of heaven. Beautifully manicured with ample seating to relax and take in the scenery. There is easy access to Carlsbad Village with great places to eat and walk around and for those that like the beach this is the place. We definitely look forward to a return stay next year!!' Pam F.

My house has been owned by my family since it was built in 1986. I grew up in La Jolla and feel that Carlsbad is like the La Jolla that I knew growing up - a quaint, pretty village by the sea. I spend my summers in the Hamptons, in the winter I travel thus I let others enjoy my house in Carlsbad while I am gone.
The Owner purchased this house in 2000
It is within walking distance to the village yet it is away from the noisy, "touristy" area. I jog or walk to the beach when I am stay at my house or walk the foothills of charming Old Carlsbad.
The house is Old Carlsbad - Lots of wonderful restaurants - both casual and fine dining abounds. There are 2 kid parks just 2-3 blocks from the house. It is close to everything - beach, shopping, golf courses, harbor, lagoons! So much to do and see!
Our family really enjoyed this lovely house. It was well decorated and spacious. We especially appreciated the pretty garden to lay down in the sun. The owner was very helpful. We definitely recommend this place.
This house is the perfect place in Carlsbad-just off the beaten path enough to be very quiet and private, yet close enough to everything to be very convenient. Very clean and comfortable; nice windows and natural light; great living space and yard. The owner was great to work with. I would definitely go back and recommend to others.
This was a lovely, comfortable place to stay. We were there for just over 4 weeks and were able to settle in right away. It is a very convenient location, close to the park, beach and village. The home was full of light and had lovely gardens which were so very relaxing. Because of its size, we were able to have several family gatherings and seat everyone comfortably. Carlsbad is one of our favorite places to visit as it has such a beautiful beach, shopping and great choices in restaurants. We loved that the house had a garage for our cars.
Sherrie (the owner) was wonderful to work with!! We have stayed in Carlsbad for extended stays often, and this was by far our best experience! Sherrie had called me once we had moved in and I asked about a reception issue on the TV in the bedroom (asking, not complaining). She called me the next day to say she was buying a new TV for that room. I sure didn't expect that!

Staying in this charming home in Carlsbad was like visiting an old friend. Everything you could ever need for a week is supplied, and I don't mean just pots and pans. It is equipped with all that and more - the linens, towels, books, CD's, DVD's, magazines, string, paper clips - on and on. I think it is the kind of place that each guest appreciates so much they want to leave something for the next person. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the location is close to everything provided you have a car.
The owner was very easy to work with and accommodating. The house was immaculate and the outdoor areas well-maintained. I would highly recommend the place to anyone.
After staying in this beautiful home I never want to stay in a hotel again. Our stay was more wonderful than we could have imagined. The home is in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood, yet close enough to everything that we usually chose to walk to the beach and restaurants instead of drive.
The home is very clean, spacious and very beautifully decorated. The yard was amazing, so nice to sit outside and eat dinner, or just relax on one of the patios and watch the hummingbirds.
I have been to San Diego many times in my life, but this was my first time to Carlsbad. Now I can’t imagine wanting to stay anywhere else. Carlsbad has everything we were looking for, gorgeous beaches, golf courses, restaurants, shopping, but still has a small town feel.
I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone. The owner has really thought of everything, This home was perfect for us. We had an amazing vacation. Thank you!

Regular rates are:
30 days - $3000 (except June thru September 1 monthly rates begin at $3800) * $600 DISCOUNT off monthly rate for SENIORS during the summer - this discount is for adults only. Seniors with grandkids (under the age of 14 staying overnight would pay the regular rate).
Rent includes utilities (internet, water, gas & electric up to $150) Guest pays utilities overages over $150.
There is a 10% occupancy tax - however if you rent over 30 nights, the City does not charge a tax.
Reservation Deposit - 50% of Balance is due within 4 business days of making reservation, upon which time your reservation will be secured. Personal Checks are accepted. There is a 3% fee that Paypal charges if guests desire to pay with Paypal.
Final Payment - 50% of Balance is due 2 weeks before occupancy
