Beautiful view from the deck

  • 5 of 5

Very nice people to work with. Beautiful home! Not a full kitchen but there is a burner on the BBQ that works fine instead of a stove.

Perfect for a visit to UCSB or Santa Barbara!

  • 5 of 5

Stella and Bob were great hosts. The studio had everything I needed and more. The refrigerator was stocked with beverages and there was coffee and creamer for the morning. I used the beach chairs and towels as well as the washer/dryer while dropping my daughter at UCSB for grad school. It was close to campus and downtown Santa Barbara. The deck was perfect for morning coffee or evening dinner. Thank you!

Nice property, with a helping of miscommunication.

  • 3 of 5

The place is very nice, owners are kind, and it is bigger than it appears in pictures for sure. The main issue was it wasn't made clear that the property is actually attached to a main house, and they share a front door. The owners were there all weekend, which my girlfriend and I weren't aware of until we had already arrived.

Issues here being a small lack of privacy, and we were woken up by noise and the smell of cooking at around 7:30am each morning, which kind of puts a damper on a vacation weekend.

All in all, the property is great, and I think with some small adjustments in clear communication and courtesy in the mornings, it can become well worth the price that is advertised.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the insight as you were kind enough to let us know about your first experience with vacation rentals. We generally communicate with guests in advance and it does show that owners live on premise . Our Home is attached to the studio and we value our guest comfort and will make note of our young guests concerns.

Perfect Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here! Bob and Stella are so friendly and accommodating. The place is very clean, lots of space, amazing porch with an even more amazing view. They had plenty of towels , extra blankets, bathroom products, beach towels, coolers etc... The area is calm and quiet but not far from the downtown area and beach to spend the day.
