About Monica VanHandel

Bill and Sharon Jones are the proud owners of this wonderful property. Bill was born and raised on this river system. Bills family has owned property on the Ichetucknee and Santa Fe continuously since 1958. When Bill graduated from college in 1982 he bought property himself and have been the proud owners of the Three Rivers Inn at Ira Bea's Oasis since 1989. When Sharon came along in 1996 we raised our children at our "vacation home" eventually moving there in 2009. We spent 4 years there and when the kids became heavily involved in high school sports the family moved to Lake City. There are FEW that know this river system as well. The area is all about relaxing, water, diving and tranquility. We ENCOURAGE you to ask any questions you may have!

Monica VanHandel purchased this house in 1989

Great way to celebrate my 50th birthday!!!

  • 5 of 5

I can truly say that spending my 50th birthday surrounded by friends in such a beautiful place was amazing! There were 10 of us and it was perfect! We spent days on the river kayaking and tubing and nights around the fire pit. If you are looking for somewhere on the water that offers EVERYTHING this is the place. The setting is amazing. Plenty of room to spread out and right next to the park. The house has comfy beds, two kitchens and plenty of seating for large gatherings. We all agreed this will become a yearly retreat for us! Take my advise book it! You won't regret it.

Off the beaten path gem

If you enjoy traffic, plazas, and chain restaurants, this is NOT the place for you. Peace and quiet, wildlife, and proximity to so many aquatic adventures, namely the numerous springs. Comfortable, flexible vacation rental.

Beautiful & Relaxing - home away from home!

  • 4 of 5

My family and I enjoyed our vacation immensely at the Three Rivers Inn. The set up from bottom to top floor was GREAT with 4 kids! The property is serene and the house is very cozy, makes you feel like you are home. My only disastifcation was with the water and cleanliness. The water system needs to have chemicals/salts added as the shower water and kitchen water have a very strong odor! The bathrooms aren't fully clean and when paying as much per night, I expect a very clean place.

Owner's Response: I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and yes the property is as tranquil as you describe. Sorry about the water as after Irma there was a change in the well water. This has occurred on occasion over the 30 years we have owned the property. We recognized that change and ordered a system that is on location as we await the installation. It was there while you were. Apologies that it was not installed during your stay, it was supposed be. As far as the bathroom, I have no excuse. I will speak with the cleaning service. I wish you had expressed your concerns upon arrival. Thank you for your candid comments.
