The Harrison Modern has 4 wonderful apartments to offer in a quiet, well designed, refurbished, Mid-Century building. For your privacy each unit has a separate entrance; 1111 – 1117 E. Harrison Street. I have lived in the building for 16 years and the neighborhood for 21, I would be happy to give you a local perspective on sightseeing or dining in the neighborhood during your stay.
Capitol Hill is one of Seattle's most vibrant neighborhoods, with wonderful stately homes, parks, museums, shopping, restaurants, theaters and other attractions all within a short walk from the property.
We have a fantastic location in the heart of this historic neighborhood, within 3 minutes walk you will find a variety of shopping, restaurants, cafes, and 3 supermarkets
We are on the same street as Seattle University and a 5 minute walk from the Pike/Pine Corridor bars, cafes & nightlife. Downtown Seattle is 1 mile from the building as is the Washington State Trade & Convention Center, and the Hospitals on First Hill. The Pike Place Market and the Seattle Space Needle are also easily accessed either on foot or by the extensive bus network that passes 2 blocks from the building on the eclectic Broadway Shopping street. You will LOVE the location!!

About Ian Petry
I have owned and lived in the Harrison Modern since 1997. I have a passion for architecture and interior design, you will see this in every aspect of the building. Originally born in New Zealand, I have traveled the world and the US extensively, I believe that Seattle is one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. My back ground is in Tourism Marketing, I worked for the New Zealand Tourism Board in Los Angles for 8 years before moving to Seattle in 1994. I have a love of travel and new experiences - Whenever I away I always stay at vacation apartments, as you get a real feel for the destination you are visiting.

Seattle is a vibrant city full of amazing sights from world class architecture, vibrant arts scene, to spectacular outdoor activities. Capitol Hill, is the perfect location to explore all Seattle and everything the region has to offer. If you are not traveling outside the city you won't need a car, everything is within an easy walk or a short bus ride. Within 3 short blocks of the building are a a number of great restaurants, shops and cafes, 2 supermarkets and 3 wonderful city parks. Capitol Hill is a rich, diverse, neighborhood with multi million mansions and a wonderful farmers market within blocks of each other. One thing I am sure about... You will love the location. I have done a lot of traveling and believe that Seattle and the Pacific North West is one of the most beautiful, livable, areas in the North America.

The Harrison Modern is my go to in Seattle. Ive stayed in every unit and they all exceed expectations. Well appointed with all the essentials you need. Parking on Capitol Hill is worth its weight in gold and Harrison modern has you coved there as well.
We had a wonderful stay - as advertised. Really great location and fun atmosphere.
Great location, clean and just the right size
We spent 5 nights at the Harrison Modern. We were looking for something near the light rail, as we did not rent a car and Harrison Modern is in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, just a 10 minute walk to the light rail station. We love walking and using mass transit, so this place was ideal! We also walked to Downtown Seattle from here: it was a good 45 minute walk, and was mostly downhill.
The unit was perfectly sized for us, and was just as advertised. The bedroom was large with plenty of closet space, and the combined living/dining room with a wall of windows made the place feel larger than it probably actually was. We didn't do any cooking, but the kitchen looked fully equipped if we had wanted to do so.
There are 2 streets within 3 blocks of Harrison Modern (Broadway and 15th) with many shops and restaurants, where we found plenty of options for a good meal. We would highly recommend Coastal Kitchen and Rione XIII for their wonderful staff and awesome food!
Thanks Ian for allowing us to check in early, it was nice to not have to drag our suitcases around until the regular check-in! You have a great place and we highly recommend it to others. We hope to visit Seattle again and your place will be at the top of our list for places to stay!
Sunny Spot in Capitol Hill
We loved this place. Very clean and well equipped. Very roomy, comfortable and stylish. Lots of light and within walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. Our only complaint was that it became very hot in the afternoons. Other than during an August heat wave in Seattle I would definitely book again and highly recommend to others.
Clean, spacious and convenient
Our family of four enjoyed our stay. Kids age 9 & 11 had plenty of space to spread out for down time in the apartment. Because we are good hikers we walked to the major sites, transited home at day's end. The apartment was clean and well organized. Perfect for our needs.
Great place to stay and outstanding city location.
The flat was clean and comfortable and Ian, the owner, was gracious and helpful throughout our stay. He accommodated our request for an early entry and he was very welcoming. We will continue to book this property.
