Welcoming, relaxing and unique

  • 5 of 5

This home has it all. There is unique lighting and art, music, outdoor places to relax. It was better than expected and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We will definitely return to this treasure in the redwoods.

Cozy cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

This was a cute, secluded, calm cabin in the woods. The interior decor is delightfully quirky, personal and inviting. Too bad only stayed one night, was tough picking which bedroom to sleep in. Janea was a warm and welcoming host. Recommend for romantic getaways, meditative getaways, and for people who love being in the woods.

Lives up to it's name!

  • 5 of 5

Tranquility Base is a wonderfully tranquil base for exploring the Santa Cruz mountain area and exactly what we were looking for! Janea is a lovely host. Her cabin is quirky, eclectic and welcoming. From the secluded deck, comfortable bed and quiet beauty of the redwoods, this is a great place to spend your time.

Seclusion and Redwoods!

  • 5 of 5

Tranquility Base was just as we hoped it would be. Very high up in the backwoods, but still easy to drive to shop, hike, etc. Funky and eclectic, but clean and well supplied. I had a writing project that I had been blocked on, but sitting out on the deck under the redwoods I found the inspiration I needed to get it done! We have lived in the Bay Area for years but knew nothing about the fascinating little community of Lompico. And the hike around Loch Lomond was very memorable.

Castro Valley, CA

This was an awesome place to unwind and decompress. I wasn't sure what to expect but when I arrived and walked up the stairs I was in awe of the surroundings. Redwood trees everywhere and it was super quiet. The house has everything you need and was just as described. I was especially impressed that the windows that opened had screens with no holes! We spent most of our time outside on the deck. There was a ton of mosquitoes so I would suggest you bring repellent. Janea was a great non-intrusive hostess. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.
