About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, 4 Sleeps

Tranquility Base is a cozy cottage at the end of a quiet country road bordered by Lompico Creek, nestled deep in the heart of a redwood rain forest.

This little gem is a haven for writers and anyone seeking a rejuvenation of the spirit. The fresh air is the elixir. The giant trees give shade and solace. The ferns and the creek frame the picture. Hiking/biking trails abound in this canyon inside of a canyon. Your mountain hideaway is just a jaunt away from the the bustling Bay Area. This haven is a 25 minute drive from the city of Santa Cruz. Amazing retreat with so many amenities

  • 5 of 5

Janea was very communicative before we arrived and everything was amazing. There were so many extra things provided that we never would have expected, like personal care products, avocado oil, agave nectar for coffee, fresh coffee beans and coffee grinder... The home is in the forest and you can hear branches falling off trees and the hum of wildlife and the creek. It is so peaceful and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and hot tub. The TV has an HDMI port if you want to bring your computer and connect. There is also lots of things for kids like stuffed animals and games. I would definitely stay here again, perhaps with another couple to make use of the extra bedroom and outdoor grill.

Just what I had hoped it would be!

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to get away from the loud east bay for 4th of July and Tranquility Base was only an hour away from home and perfect! The only sounds to be heard were running water from the creek and birds chirping. The cabin is beautiful, nestled among the redwoods and very cozy. Janea has really done a wonderful job with the details to make it both whimsical and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a place to go that is very private and romantic this is the place. We spent 3 days 2 nights here and never saw another person. The property is almost to the end of the road so very few cars even drove by. The property is full of charm and is definitely eclectic! No matter where you are there is something to look at. The redwoods are awesome! Even though there is no cellular phone service, the property has a phone, cable, and wifi. We took food with us and had planned on going out for dinner one night. But we loved the place so much we stayed, sipped wine and soaked in the hot tub! We are already planning our next trip!

Everything was perfect at this cabin, you will have a perfect day / night over there, I took only 1 day and night and wished I could stay more but I was in a rush, this is preferable for 2 nights, you will enjoy every corner of the cabin, it is secluded with a creek crossing the road and with a beautiful rain forest surrounding the cabin, just amazing, 5/5 stars, excellent 120% recommended!.
