Guestbook comments from the manager
We had an absolutely wonderful time at your home on Ripley Pond this
week. We took full advantage of the kayaks and paddle boat and enjoyed
evenings relaxing on the deck. The dogs loved the easy access to the
water too. Both of our parents were able to come visit for a day and
equally enjoyed the relaxing environment your house offers.
One thing we would suggest for the next guests with dogs is that you
mention there are ant traps on the property. Our lab was able to sniff
them out before we could find them and managed to get some in his
We would love to return the same week next year if it is
available. We hope you will keep us in mind when you start taking
reservations for 2017.

Exactly what we were looking for!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful property! We had a wonderful week, the house exceeded all expectations! The kids loved the paddleboat and spending time at the water. Took a day trip to bar harbor and another to moosehead lake, both breathtaking. Our favorite moment came one clear, beautiful night where we all just sat quietly on the deck star gazing... So perfect. Will definitely return!
Amazingly calm, peaceful and tranquil!
This is a beautiful place- like heaven on earth! We loved all the little things that were done to make it a home as well as user friendly. The pathway to the water was gorgeous, we especially loved the smiley faces on the rocks!
Everything inside the house was just perfect, we could not have asked for a better place to spend time! We could have just stayed at the house out week enjoying the beauty of this property.
We look forward to returning again next year!!!
This home will be calling me back for a long time!
What an amazing way to spend a week!!!!! This place has it all! Beautiful surroundings and an assortment of fun equipment to keep everyone entertained. The home itself is gorgeous with plenty of room to spread out. I can't believe how fortunate we were to have discovered this amazing getaway!! We will definitely be returning this way again! Thank you so much Frank and Annmarie for allowing us to spend time in your lovely home
Wonderful Maine Trip
We rented this beautiful lake house in Maine back in June. Usually, you can't trust photos. But, this is an exception. The house/property were even bigger than we thought. Plus, you can't beat the privacy. If you're looking for a laid-back, relaxing place, this is it. You are surrounded by woods, with nothing but the breeze and water. The owners even supply 2 kayaks and a paddle boat for some entertainment. We had a great time, and would recommend to anyone. Thanks for the awesome vacation!
Everything we wanted & more!
My girlfriend and I came looking for a vacation getaway to remove ourselves from the hustle and bustle of city life and that's exactly what we got. Not only was the house spotless and well-maintained but it afforded us all the daily necessities (pots/pans/washer/dryer/etc.) as well as simple luxuries like waterfront dining, fire pit and scenic views. Highly recommended for anyone looking for seclusion and tranquility - we'll definitely be back again next year!
Home away from Home!!
This home was the perfect place for a family of four (two children 11 & 17) and a Golden Retriever!! There was so much to do at the home that you didn't think about being bored!!! Paddle boat, two kayaks, tree rope swing into pond (kids loved it!!) air hockey table, swimming, enjoying nature, listening to the loons, laying in hammock (watching kids swim) and seeing beavers and fox! We spent a day at Lake Moosehead and took a 4.5 hr steamship boat to Mt. Kineo - breathtaking (1 hr away) We also saw a moose and family of deers on the back roads! The house is modern, fully-equipped, clean, well-maintained. The owner was very nice and helpful. The town is about 15 minutes away for anything you need. It's a perfect place for re-connecting with your family - we had so many laughs!!!! Thank you once again for letting us stay in your home!! We already wish we were back there!!
