About the Owner

We have loved the mountains and decided to buy in the Blue Ridge area because of all it has to offer - easy access, shops, hiking, tubing, rafting, antiquing, vineyards and wine tastings, festivals and so much more.

Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. It was perfect and perfect location. Just loved Cherry Log Mountain area too. Loved all your decor, I have lots of bear stuff here at home too and hoping one day maybe will have a cabin of our own to decorate it with. So quiet and peaceful there. We couldn't have asked for anything more and weather was absolutely beautiful too. Thanks again and hope can return soon. Have a great week!!

Beautiful, cozy cabin.

  • 5 of 5

Cabin had all amenities you could wish for. Just the right amount of seclusion...yet not so much that you feel completely isolated. Surroundings are beautiful. We "lived" in the downstairs level which included the master bedroom and bathroom, and even had a small fridge and microwave. We ate our meals on the lower level porch...which provided a spectacular view. Cabin was within easy driving distance to Blue Ridge, which provided quaint and unique shops and restaurants. Plenty of things to do in the area....tubing, white water rafting, horseback riding. A trip to Mercier Orchard is a must do. Thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Fishing Bear Cabin. Highly recommend!

Awesome place to stay, it has everything you need.

This place was fantastic! My Boyz and I had a great time from playing in the game room to hiking down the trails and the hottub too. There are plenty of movies if you want to watch one and the kitchen is very well stocked with spices and condiments. Can't say enough good things about this cabin and the area. A MUST VISIT IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A GREAT TIME! Also this was one of the few places that I found that had both an open porch and a screened porch. I told you it has everything. A return trip will be in our future.

My family and I stayed in Fishing Bear Cabin a couple of weeks ago and was very pleased with our stay. It was so quiet and peaceful. The cabin was awesome and we absolutely loved it!!!! We had fun spending time together as a family playing games and enjoying the hot tub. It was so convenient to have all of the luxuries of home and not have to make special trips into town for items. We will definitely be booking Fishing Bear Cabin again in the future. Working with Mrs. Jeanne was so pleasant and the process was so easy. She also responds to emails quickly which is very nice when you are booking a stay. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice, clean, wonderful place to stay in the quietness of the Blue Ridge Ga mountains.

From the moment we pulled up in Cherry Log my mother and I were in awe of the landscape and views! As soon as we opened the door she gasped! She loved it! We couldn't get enough of the decor! Every time we walked in a room we kept saying look at this, did you see that?! I spent the majority of my time on the swing on the top porch and she stayed in the screened porch swinging and the hot tub. She was already asking when we could go back. Needless to say we will be booking another trip! Highly recommend this place, we called it a little piece of heaven for the weekend! Thanks much for letting us enjoy your place ❤️

Perfect last minute getaway for my son and I!!!

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing place to stay! The cabin was wonderful and extremely well stocked, and the location couldn't of been any better. Jeanne was an absolute pleasure to work with and so flexible, especially with our last minute getaway. We went zip lining, walked around Blue Ridge, went hiking, sat on the swing enjoying the beauty of nature, played all the great games Jeanne has there at the cabin and sat in the hot tub at night to end our day. Thank you again, Jeanne, for sharing your wonderful cabin with us and allowing us to make wonderful memories. We will be back soon!

From the Owner

We fell in love with the cozy, comfort of this cabin. It is very easy to get to with a four lane highway right up to the turn to go up the mountain. Once you leave the highway it is like being in another world - quiet, peaceful. We have tried to make our cabin a home away from home and provide all the comforts of home.
