This log home, situated on the West Bay of Grand Traverse Bay, is perfect for a northern Michigan 'getaway'. The home, located on M-22, is approximately 4 miles north of Traverse City and approximately 10 miles south of Suttons Bay. Features include lake frontage directly across the street with a deck & stairs to the water. The home also features an open floor plan with a 'great room' to include the living room, dining room and kitchen. The remodeled kitchen includes Bosch stainless steel appliances including a microwave, stove and dishwasher, cherry wood cabinets & a stainless steel refrigerator. A washer & dryer are available in the kitchen entry way. The downstairs Master bedroom includes a king bed and a newly remodeled bathroom with a walk-in shower, jacuzzi tub and maple wood cabinets. The upstairs features 2 bedrooms, each with a new queen-sized bed and a loft with another 2 inflatable queen-sized mattresses. The loft allows for additional sleeping, if need be. This home is perfect for couples and/or families and features fireplaces in both the master bedroom and living room, beautiful log interior, a large covered back porch for entertaining and accomodates 8-10 people very comfortably. The log home charm of this property makes it an excellent getaway for summer & winter rentals alike.

Great family vacation

The home was perfect for our stay. It was immaculate, and well equipped. We were in Traverse City for a family wedding (at the Commons) and the location was ideal. We were able to enjoy wine tastings and restaurants in Suttons Bay as well. The home easily accommodated three families and the children enjoyed playing in the spacious back yard. The views of the bay were spectacular. Our experience with the owner was excellent.

Beautiful Log Home near Traverse City

Celebrated a surprise 40th birthday for our daughter. Enjoyed the great kitchen for preparing our Italian dinner and wonderful view of the bay. Beautiful sunrise! Loft had 2 air mattress beds,which added extra sleeping guests . 4 miles to Traverse City for restaurants. Master bedroom was large and spacious,also large back covered patio. Matri was a gracious host. Would recommend the home for large groups.

Pleasantly surprised

Was initially skeptical of our rental only because I'd never been inside. Boy, was I needlessly worried. My jaw almost dropped when we walked in.....the house was spectacular, furniture top notch, kitchen well appointed with everything we could need, appliances top of the line, bedrooms spacious and nicely appointed, master BR was too die for and the view of sun rising over the bay was memorable. We had 6 adults and a toddler and everyone was accommodated very nicely. For sure will come back!

Comfortable, clean, and affordable place!

This was a lovely place to stay in Traverse City, and I will book it again in the future. I have stayed in this area many times, and I typically find that it's hard to find affordable locations near TC itself. This was very close to town on 22, with a grocery store and wineries nearby and easy driving access to downtown. The place is clean, has a nice back porch and backyard, and has access to the water across the street. We had three couples and four children--there were bedrooms for all couples and a nice big room with air mattresses for the kids.

Lots to do in a beautiful setting.

We really had a fantastic time and loved staying in this Traverse City log home!! We had all our family together -8 of us including our granddaughter - 2 months old!

We had great food, hiked at Sleeping Bear as well as Mission Peninsula, rented a boat, shopped, and visited wineries and a brewery during our short time.

We appreciate how clean and comfortable this home was! There are not many pictures on the site, so we relied on other reviews. We found the home to be just as described. The owners communicate well and even left us some wine and a pie! We'd love to come back!

Weekly Rate: $2,000-$2500

Weekly Summer Rentals are $2,500 per week. Summer rates begin on May 1, 2017

Late Fall, Winter & Spring Rentals are $2,000 per week. Fall rates begin on September 30, 2017. Rentals by the week are preferred & discounts will be given to multi-week rentals. A minimum 2 night stay is requested for weekend rentals. Spring, Fall and winter weekend rates are $400 per night. Summer nightly rentals are $450 per night.

A refundable $600 security/rental deposit is required for all rentals and us due upon booking. The deposit is fully refundable if cancelled at least 60 days prior to the reservation. If cancelled 30-60 days prior to the reservation, 50% of the reservation deposit will be refunded. If reservation is cancelled within 30 days, it will be credited to another available week or forfeited. The security/rental deposit is fully refundable after completing check-out.
Payment in full is due at least one month prior to occupancy. If the reservation is made within the 30 days of occupancy, payment in full is due upon booking.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
