Nice location, well kept log home

  • 4 of 5

My family had a lovely time in Traverse City this past week. Your log home was comfortable. My sister and her family stayed in the ground floor master bedroom and it worked out well with their 16 month old toddler. My kids were in the loft, which they enjoyed. The kids took advantage of the grassy space in the backyard. I appreciated the proximity to both Traverse City and the Leelanau delights. Just a short 10 minute drive to TC was very convenient. We took day trips to Fishtown, Suttons Bay, Old Mission Peninsula and Elk Rapids, including hours of beach time during the 90 degree days. We enjoyed shopping and eating in downtown Traverse City. My parents enjoyed an evening at the local casino. There was something for everyone. Marti was wonderful to work with, very responsive to emails questions I had leading up to our week.

Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your home.

Amazing house!

  • 5 of 5

This house/property was so perfect for my family vacation. I've planned my family's vacation for many years now and have been burnt several times due to houses not looking like they do on the listings. This house was way BETTER than the listing and we couldn't have been happier. Gorgeous views out the front windows, beautiful kitchen with new appliances, comfortable beds, and a great backyard to play around in . Also the distance to town was great. Not too close where you could get caught up in the Cherry Festival traffic but close enough where you could be in town within 5-10 minutes if you'd like to be. Marti was a dream to work with, very communicative and helpful. This house easily made it to the top of our favorite rental houses, we hope to stay here again!

Laid-back getaway Up North

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home on Grand Traverse Bay. The property was immaculately-maintained and was perfect for three couples. There was a master bedroom with private bath and two bedrooms upstairs sharing a bathroom as well as a den with two additional beds. The driveway accommodated three cars easily. The place could comfortably house probably four more people but the den room had no door and is less private. The location was perfect- easy access to the entire Leelanau Peninsula and a 10-minute drive into Traverse City. Although we didn't spend much too much time in the home itself, it was a comfortable place to unwind after a dune climb (with a nice, spacious kitchen), see the stars, and get some shut-eye. Finally, the owners were wonderful hosts, welcoming us with pie and recommendations on what to do in the area. I would absolutely recommend this place for a trip Up North!

Gorgeous log home on the bay

  • 5 of 5

We needed a place to accommodate our family members for our son's wedding at the Jolly Pumpkin this past weekend. Marti and Gerry's home exceeded our expectations a hundred fold. Wow! Not only was there plenty of room to accommodate 10 people, but the refrigerator was well stocked along with the pantry. To top it off, there was a bottle of wine and a cherry pie to welcome us. The view overlooking the bay from the front porch was gorgeous and the backyard deck was very relaxing. We would highly recommend this home for anyone one who wants to visit Traverse City and we would stay there again if the opportunity arises. Marti and Gerry were very easy to work with and gracious. Excellent customer service!

Great girls weekend!

  • 5 of 5

From the start Marti and Gerry have been a pleasure to work with - very responsive and very accommodating. Their home is beautiful and immaculately maintained. Just to name a few of the highlights: the house is spotless, the beds (and bedding for that matter) were very comfortable, a plentiful stocked kitchen, BEAUTIFUL view of the water across the street, high-end appliances, great location - close to downtown & wineries, washer & dryer available for use. Upon entering the house we were treated to a pie and nice bottle of wine, which was a very sweet surprise! Overall, a great home for a great price!

Great Birthday Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect long weekend getaway for my wife Cathy's 60th birthday, four close friends, and our two adult children. The beautiful log home was exactly as described, cozy and roomy, and with a great vibe. The view of Grand Traverse bay is spectacular, yet still near town, and really close to several wineries.

We had an early April snow for two days, and made good use of the fireplace and Jacuzzi. Gerry and Marti have thought of everything, and all you need are your clothes and a toothbrush! The kitchen is well equipped, and the appliances are first rate . . . we made good use of them.

As we entered the house, there was even a Grand Traverse cherry pie, and two bottles of wine, compliments of Gerry and Marti, with a card offering birthday greeting!
