The perfect place to get away from it all. Just a 15 minute coastal ride to Carmel or the heart of Big Sur,on a paved road, just past Rocky Point Restaurant. Situated on a secluded parcel of Redwood groves, a flowing creek and calming peace.

The main house is a 2 bed/1 bath spacious cabin. One of the original homesteaded cabins, built in the late 1800's. It is updated and decorated for that cozy cabin experience. Pillowtop/memory foam queen mattresses in bedrooms. Cozy up to the wood burning stove in the large living room with 46" flat screen tv/dvd player and extensive movie gallery. Separate dining area and large kitchen. A wonderful wrap around deck, to enjoy the canyon views. 4 person maximum. $275/night, plus $100 refundable cleaning fee.

The second home is an adorable lofted studio, with upstairs bedroom (stairs are fairly steep and open railing upstairs, please view additional pictures). Also with an enormous wrap around deck. Full size bed with down bedding. Wood burning stove, fully functional small kitchenette, flat screen tv with dvd player and movie gallery. 2 person maximum (adults only). $165/night, plus $45 refundable cleaning fee.

Nestled in a tranquil redwood forest, this is the perfect place for a quiet retreat in one of California's most beautiful destinations. Ideally located to explore all that the Big Sur has to offer (don't miss cocktails in the river at the River Inn just down the road). Both cabins are rustic but well equipped. I have stayed in both and thoroughly enjoyed each of my visits. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I stayed in the main cabin over a weekend and we really loved this place. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for, very secluded and comfortable. Lisa and her family were also extremely helpful for us city slickers...they had the fire already going in the stove before we got there the first night and helped up start it up again the next night. High recommend this place for a weekend getaway in Big Sur!

Perfect weekend getaway

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in the studio cabin for a weekend. The property was absolutely beautiful! Surrounded by redwoods and just a short drive from the coast. Despite being directly next to the larger cabin, the studio felt completely private. It was as described in the ad, but even better than I expected because the kitchen had absolutely everything you would need there. The owner was very friendly and left plenty of wood for the fire. The only suggestion I can make is that maybe they could use a new mattress as the one they have wasn't very comfortable. Everything else was great though, and I would definitely stay here again!

Owner's Response: It is a great little cabin! We just purchased the mattress "new" about 6 months ago. We have slept on it and find its comfortable. It just depends on what you like in a mattress, firm or soft. It is more on the firm side.
