This a wonderful cabin, the moment you step inside, you experience the peaceful surroundings and Heavenly mountain views. Sitting on the deck with your beverage of choice is a simple pleasure at Cloud 9.

There are 3 televisions, however internet is not available yet. But Starbucks is not far away.

There are many great restaurants....Bullfish, Daddy's wood burning pizza, Log Cabin Restaurant at Stop light 10 for breakfast. (Order French Toast Royal)

We'll be back!

  • 5 of 5

We were beyond happy with our five night stay at Cloud Nine. The hot tub and pool table were perfect, since we had our 2 teenagers with us! The wraparound deck with rockers on the main level was great, as was the smaller deck on the lower level when our kids wanted to hang out by themselves. The upper (covered) deck is large enough that we could set up a cornhole game during the few hours of rain one afternoon. The kitchen had more than the average pots, pans, dishes, etc. The cabin was clean and neat, and had everything we needed. The roads to this cabin were very easy to negotiate, and it is only about 7 miles into Pigeon Forge. Very easy and not too far to get to the Smoky Mountains National Park, too. MarySue is a wonderful lady, and we are already planning our stay at Cloud Nine next year!

Fantastic View

  • 5 of 5

Cloud Nine was the perfect place for our party of six. The bedrooms on each of the three levels have privacy and space to each couple in our group. The cabin is equipped with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. MarySue, the owner, was extremely quick to respond and accommodate any concerns we had. The view is extraordinary. Would definitely recommend this cabin to others.

Family-friendly, safe, and comfortable!

  • 4 of 5

Our last-minute reservation process with the owner of the cabin went smoothly. She is easily available to communicate with one via telephone, text, and e-mail. The owner was on vacation but still managed to get us all the pertinent paperwork and reserve quickly!

For the majority of our family, this cabin was a retreat from the routine! Getting into Pigeon Forge during the holiday season, one can easily go nuts with the traffic on the parkway (we call it "Kissimmee on steroids," reference for the area right outside Disney World after the parks close). Fortunately, the area where Cloud 9 cabin is located, Dogwood Farms, is a good 4-5 miles away from the craziness of the parkway, therefore the streets leading to Dogwood Farms are picturesque and well paved. Arriving at Dogwood Farms, be prepared to go up some steep roads, but nothing you can't do with a 2 wheel drive compact SUV. My CRV drove around the hairpin curve accurately. Remember, make wide turns.

Access into the cabin is very easy, as the owner provides renter with a lockbox combination conveniently located on the porch. The layout of the cabin was ideal for our party--adults used the bedrooms in the main floor and loft. Kids and teens used the basement bedroom since the pool table and small TV to watch movies are located on the bottom deck. All the beds were comfortable and the linens were very well kept. We had enough towels for our party. I do recommend acquiring thicker towels though. Also, the cabin was very dusty and could use a deep cleaning. Some of the cabin's things were loose, like a door knob leading to the porch in the bottom deck, vent in the kitchen, and the dining room chairs were shaky. The toilet in the loft needs fixing. The cabin could upgrade their main living room television-- no longer are those giant box TVs in style, perhaps hang a family-size flat panel above the chimney area. The chimney was great since it was electric and we used everynight, temps were in the 20s. The hot tub area was nice but needs more lighting in that area if you use it at night. The views are spectacular, facing north. For the nightly price we received, the cabin was splendid. We had good times reading other reviews on the guest book. The best part of the cabin was the daily visits of a certain neighbor to the cabin's porch area: A beautiful female beagle named Bella would come over and say hi to us. To her owner: This is a great marketing tool for future renters! haha
