I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Gruene Acres. The time always seems to fly by too fast. I have stayed here several times over the last few years and it never disappoints. I look forward to visiting again next year.
We enjoyed our stay at Gruene Acres Guest Haus. The house was spacious and well decorated with a Texas flare. It was close to Gruene Hall and when things were quiet we could hear the musicians playing there. Tracie was an excellent host.
Thank you Suzy. We appreciate your stay and hope to have you stay again soon.
This home is in a great location and has everything we needed. The property manager was prompt with email responses and very easy to deal with. We would definitely stay again on our next trip to the river.
Time in Texas
Very clean. Good location to things.
Fun weekend in Gruene
The property was close to Gruene and all of the action for floating the river. Our group was able to walk back from Gruene Hall at night with no problems. The kitchen area and outside porch was great to be in with friends. Very large. The entire property was well maintained and very clean. Only downside was the lack of amenities like extra sets of towels, toiletries, blow dryer, and the wifi was spotty.
Thank you for the feedback Collin. I will check on the linens and toiletries with housekeeping today. There should always be plenty available. I will also check on the WiFi. I hadn't heard of any issues. I will also check with the current renters who are longer term and see if they've had any issues.
We don't typically provide blow dryers because our long term renters which are most common bring their own. I'll be sure to make the suggestions though.
Great location. We enjoyed our stay at your cozy home. Loved the back porch.
Gruene Hall is right around the corner. Check out their web site for a list of who is playing. Besides the nightly entertainment, there are usually live bands during the day on Saturday and Sunday. Gruene Hall is one of our favorites! Also, enjoy dining along the bluffs of the Guadalupe River at the Gristmill and Gruene River Grill. Mozie's is a fun place to watch sporting events. If you want to go downtown, enjoy McAdoo's or Myrons for seafood and steaks. The Dancing Pony is one of our favorite places to shop downtown and Gruene with Envy has great clothes, jewelry and shoes. Stop by Lone Star Music for great T-shirts and you never know who will be stopping in to play a gig! If you're into antigues, drop by Black Swan for exceptional finds staight from Europe.
If you're looking for a day in the sun and water on the Guadalupe, Rockin R River Rides and Gruene River Company are located on Gruene Road within walking distance. At the end of the day visit Gruene Hall, the oldest dancehall in Texas for cool drinks and great music.
