We have been serving the Burnsville area since 2006 renting out vacation rentals.
Steve Corneliussen purchased this house in 2007
One of the main reasons we chose the property was the screened in deck and it didn't disappoint. The property is bigger than appears in pictures and our dogs loved it. The pictures of the house do not do it justice...it's really nice, cozy and well equipped. We hiked, fished, walked, golfed and it was a beautiful location away from it all. If you aren't used to driving in the mountains, it's a bit nerve wracking to get there- lots of twists and turns. We drove to Little Switzerland and had dinner at Mountain View restaurant...great food and view was spectacular. On the way there are a few look outs and they're breathtaking. All in all wonderful stay...even caught a couple of fish out the back door!
You are truly "away from it all" so make sure you bring all of the food and drinks you want ..grill is charcoal so bring your own. There is a convenience store down the road but you want to bring a cooler of food and drinks to prepare.
house was a great location to access mt mitchell trail and local waterfalls. Enjoyed the river behind the house and evening fires in the fire pit.
Absolute cutestest cabin with all the amenities and comfort awaiting you. We spent the days hiking beautiful trails and splashing in the nearby waterfalls, and enjoyed coming back to an outside fire (chimney in side yard) and cozy beds. Our Bernese mountain dog loved the early morning walks in the refreshing creek located in the back yard. Experiencing only one night of rain, we gathered on the huge screened in porch for dinner & games......fabulous family time in the mountains!
We had a great week at Rivervista in July '10. The property was very nice -the pictures don't do it justice, really. We particularly enjoyed the big screened porch and playing with our dogs in the nice back yard and river. We had a very minor AC problem, and both David and the service techs were faster than fast at getting it resolved. We've stayed a lot of places, and here, out in the middle of the forest, we get the best service we can remember! The local hiking is great, as is the trout fishing. Highly recommended!!
