Location, location, location!!!

  • 5 of 5

We used the place as our base camp for Mt. Mitchell climb, it was 3 miles to black mountain campground , and the start of the most popular trail up the mountain. We were able to get there in good time avoiding the morning crowds. The home/cabin had all the amenities we needed for our 4 day stay, quiet, peaceful, can't wait to do this again. Special mention for the high speed internet, i am currently in school for my doctorate degree and the ability to do my on-line assignments during breaks, PRICELESS!!!!

Wonderful Vacation Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the peaceful setting of the Rivervista Cabin!! It was the perfect getaway for our family. Wonderful trout fishing!!! We enjoyed relaxing evenings by the campfire in the outdoor fireplace and cool mornings with breakfast and coffee on the back patio!! So close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and incredible scenic views and hiking to the Crabtree Falls! Only bad part of vacation here was that it had to come to an end!

Relax and truly enjoy your stay away from home.

  • 5 of 5

Best cabin ever! We stayed for a week. The whole family wished it was our cabin for the summer. Clean and peaceful is how I would describe Rivervista. It felt like home but with an awesome river out back. We watched fireflies at night after cooking out on the grill. In the morning we drank coffee on the screen covered porch before playing in the river with the children. The beds were so comfortable I didn't want to get up. The outside of the cabin had a great big fireplace with wood stumps for seats. It added such charm to our fire. I hope we can return again soon. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.
