This darling cozy (pet friendly) cottage in the woods sits on a 100 acre spring fed all sport lake. The Cottage sleeps 8. There are 3 bedrooms on the upper floor (one queen bed, one king bed, and a twin bed and full size bed) and a full bath. The main level has a bedroom with a queen bed, large great room with gas fireplace, full kitchen and a full bath. The great room also has a full size futon sofa. The deck has a beautiful view of the lake which is just steps away, as well as outdoor seating and a gas grill. The home also has an outdoor fire pit for bonfires and a row boat.
We needed a place to stay so we could attend a friend's wedding - and having our kids and fiancées able to join us was a plus. My Sweet Adeline's - Graciousness, peacefulness personified!!! The home is lovely, welcoming and stocked with everything one might need.
The view of the lake and the outdoor amenities of deck, sitting area by the lake and pier are waiting for you to let down your hair.... The antiques and decorating style make one feel pampered - not to mention the owner Lisa running over to supply us with home made baked goods. A lovely experience for all of us.
This was our first trip to Michigan and we enjoyed the house very much! It is secluded from the street so you feel like you are in a different world with trees surrounding you. The house is cozy, yet roomy for the 4 adults and 4 young children (ages 3, 5, 7 and 9) that we had. On rainy days, there were plenty of boardgames, checkers, cards, chess, etc to keep everyone entertained. The outside is very relaxing, which was much needed and the lake is just beautiful. There was a sandbox and rafts for the kids to play on. They loved fishing and jumping into the water right off the pier. We also rented the pontoon boat, which was a huge hit with the kids. We pulled them in the water on rafts and went swimming off the boat too. Lisa was amazing, in that she came over each evening with baked goodies, which were enjoyed by all. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome. The drive to South Haven wasn't anymore than 20 minutes, which was a great place to visit, shop and spend a day at the beach. If a relaxing getaway is what you want, then this is the location you are looking for.
Such a lovely hideaway on a very quiet inland lake. Lisa and Tim are just wonderful, checking on us daily to see if they can help with our stay and bringing us breakfast baked goods every night at 7p. Price is right...they are expanding to one more bedrooom and a laundrey room which is an excellent addition. Very roomy living area, quaint antiwue bedrooms and our own row boat and dock...No motor boats zooming by, only graceful pontoons. We will seriously consider returning...A little far to get ot South Have, approx 15 minute ride but you can easily hop US31 and ride up and down the coast to South Have,Saugatuck, Grand Haven, Holland etc
