Conveniently located and very comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay. Plenty of room for two large families on spring break. It was near to downtown so it was cheap and easy to Uber anywhere you needed to go. After a long day of walking around Washington DC we ate in most nights and felt very safe. The owners were very nice and accommodating. I would recommend staying here.

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

The place was great. Even better then described. The neighborhood looked a little sketchy at first but I never felt unsafe. We sat out on the front porch in the evenings and didn't have any problems. There is ample parking. A grocery store is nearby so you can do your own cooking if you like. The couch is super comfortable. We didn't use the public transportation but we certainly could have since it was conveniently located as well. I would stay there again.

Hidden Jewel

  • 4 of 5

Not the greatest neighborhood but the condo is terrific and we had no problems in the area. Well equipped and plenty of parking. Updated in every way and ample secure parkiing. Metro and bus conveniently located nearby. All three generations enjoyed the stay. Highly recommend this hidden jewel!

Comfortable Stay in DC

  • 4 of 5

Property was as described, open layout made it feel spacious, amenities were fine. The L-shaped living room couch was comfy and had room enough for 4 people to nap on it. We had no problems with cleanliness. Had plenty of sleeping options. Restroom on each level. Had off-street parking and a nice back sun porch. A/C worked fine. Had no difficulties with the neighborhood, however, often there were people out on the street corners that made me somewhat cautious and I would probably not walk alone at night. Grocery store 4 minute drive away. Metro not far - 15-20 walk, or 5 min drive. Property Manager responded in a timely fashion and answered our questions.

All in all, a decent place to stay. Areas of improvement that I'd recommend, but not so much that I wouldn't return, are: available hand towels for the bath rooms, oven mitts, more kitchen towels and dish rags, ceiling fans in all the bedrooms (I think there was just one), one bedroom did not have a tv, and pillows were the foam type so were a bit hard to sleep on. The lower level bedroom mattress sank in the middle and could stand to be replaced and the futon mattress was fine if placed on the floor, but on the frame it sat crooked (the metal frame had a dent causing it to be uneven).

We recommend The White Apron deli for lunch (near Ford's Theater) and Rosa Mexicana for a nice dining experience.

Ample and convenient place to stay

  • 4 of 5

I stayed with 9 friends for about a week. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the house is actually bigger than what I thought reading the add, accomodating ten persons with a lot of room left.

The whole place is clean, functionnal (the kitchen is perfect) and the living room is quite pleasant. Not a single bad surprise, and I am under the impression that the cost is very cheap given the quality.

My only concerns would be that one the room tended to be a little cold at night, requiring extra blankets. Also - but this is extrememy minor - the fire alarm is super sensitive, so leave the windows open when cooking for ten.

The neighbourhood is fine, you will need a ride to go shopping but it is safe enough (I went for some runs in the area and did not feel threatened at any point) and as quiet as it gets.

Should I do another trip to D.C, I would certainly come here again.

Definitely Recommended!

My stay at this residence was perfect. I came to town with a group of girlfriends so we could attend a local festival. We searched online for a place that would be economical for the group and conveniently located. We found this place and booked online. The woman I corresponded with was very pleasant. When I spoke to her on the phone, she was a delight to talk to as she patiently provided me with all the information and answers to all my questions, while easing my concerns.

The neighborhood is in an up and coming gentrification neighborhood. As those who have visited the Nation’s Capital City know, it is ever changing and growing! The block is quaint and relatively quiet. The residents are a mixture of both old and young. Some appear to have lived in the area for decades while others may be new to the neighborhood. The house is conveniently located about a ½ mile walk to the Stadium Armory Metrorail station and there’s a newly opened trolley that I saw running constantly at the end of the block. In addition there are several bus lines that run nearby as well.

Because my friends and I all live in different cities, our arrivals were staggered and in multiple vehicles. Parking in the DC area can be very troublesome and expensive. Fortunately, there was ample street parking as well as a driveway on the side of the house and one in the back that was secured with a garage door. We were all delighted to know that the house was very spacious and easily accommodated our group of 8 women. On the 1st floor was a fully furnished living and dining area, a powder room and a fully equipped kitchen with all the comforts of home. On the 2nd floor are 3 bedrooms and a sky-lit bathroom. In the finished basement, was another living area and a bedroom. That’s 4 bedrooms total! With proper shower scheduling, we all managed to get dressed and not feel crowded or rushed while doing so. Now that is a MAJOR feat for 8 women! The house was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. There was cable TV and Wifi access, as well as upstairs and downstairs zoned heating and cooling. In addition, we were able to save money because we went to a nearby supermarket and purchased groceries and snacks. We prepared our breakfasts at the house and had food to snack on after returning late evening or after a night out on the town. Our stay at this residence was very comfortable and allowed us to gather as a group, laughing, talking and catching up over wine and frozen cocktails.
