Overview

About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Right On The Beach

Cedar Landing Resort is located on beautiful M-22 between Frankfort and Empire in the heart of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. We are a community of 2 - two bedroom cabins on the shore of Long Lake in Benzie county. With 165' of lakeshore we have a large beach and every cabin has an awesome view. Long Lake is shallow with a sandy bottom where the depth increases gradually, which makes it great for swimming. Don't forget to bring your fishing pole, you could catch bass, pike, perch and bluegill.

The cabins sit apart from each other so you are able to enjoy your privacy, yet close enough to make this a good location for family and friend gatherings. Please see our other listing https://www.vrbo.com/7056328ha for information about our other cottage. You can also find us on facebook!

About Emily Pangborn

I grew up in West Michigan, live & work in Southeast Michigan, my Cabin is located in "Up North Michigan."

Emily Pangborn purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Emily Pangborn chose Sleeping Bear Dunes

Lake front cabin with a dock, boat and a beach on a beautiful quiet lake. I couldn't resist it's charm.

What makes this cabin unique

I'm always improving something at the cabins. Hired a new cleaning crew and property manager and they are utterly fantastic.

Going to bed listening to the trees and the lake is awesome. Waking up to the sounds of nature on the lake is incredible. Watching the chipmunks zip back and forth is entertaining.

Don't want to cook? Walk up the stairs and down the driveway to the Manitou for early dinner at 4:30pm, order the prime rib on Saturday night with a few ales. It hits the spot, head back and start a campfire and unwind.

Just beautiful, better than explained in listing.

My arrival date may be a week off, Property is great, so much to do locally, or just stay on your private beach and enjoy your time spent on vacation. very kid friendly, neighboring cabins that are owned are very nice people. Other renters on property great. My family has been returning the last couple of years and will go back this year as well. Good communication and clean cabins.

Beautiful Location

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed being right on the water. Small, but well thought out cabin. Very clean. They even provided long leashes for dogs. That my dog was welcome was a big plus. Will probably come back next year. The only two drawbacks are the number of steps down to the cabin and the limited parking available.

Wonderful hidden "gem" of the north!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here July 6 thru 13th in Cabin "4" and, as promised, the resort was right on the lake and sandy beach, with gradual hard sand bottom leading out t beautiful, very private lake. The property was clean and well-maintained, and the cabin was darling, new knotty pine throughout, clean and so well-stocked, everything imaginable was provided! Nice picnic table right on deck overlooking water. My husband and I stayed the week, our 2 adult kids joined us for 3 days, there was plenty of room for them in the "bunk room", and we had a nice comfortable queen bed in ours. Steve allowed us to bring our golden retriever and she romped in the lake all week. My husband caught many small mouthed bass; and there is a fishing boat prvided as well as a nice long dock. You do need to know that there are many steps leading down (and up!) to the cabins so be prepare, not good for people with inability to do stairs. Very nice shared firepit with plenty of seating. 10 minutes to where the Platte River empties into Lake Michigan, beautiful beach day there! Close to 2 casinos, we went to Turtle Creek in Traverse City and Little Rive in Manistee, 30 mins to each. Also enjoyed wine tasting near Traverse City. Clean, private, all around excellent facility! Thanks Steve, we'll be back!!! Gloria
