About Glenn Golcher

We actually built this chalet ourselves. It is an authentic Lindal Western Cedar Home

that uses posts and beams to provide soaring spaces inside.

Glenn Golcher purchased this chalet in 2009

Why Glenn Golcher chose Asheville Area

This is about as private as it gets and an excellent way to get away from the stresses

of modern society. There are literally no homes directly on any side and only one

home below on the street below our Street. All you see is green trees and distant

Mountain views. No car horns, sirens, car alarms, other noises; strictly nature and

the rustling wind. This chalet also makes for a perfect family reunion

What makes this chalet unique

Lindal Cedar (fragrant)

Internet Streaming using ROKU service on TV

Gourmet kitchen with all the gadgets and Laundry under Counter

Quick access to Interstate Hwy 26 and a quick hop into Asheville and Biltmore Home

Hassle Free check-in/out! No driving to a rental agency to pick up keys, etc..

Comfortable getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property! It is easy to get to and everything was as advertised. It does not take long to get in and out of Asheville and the trip back and forth is easy to navigate. Well equipped kitchen enabled us to cook meals altogether and we had no problems at all. The view out of the common area is beautiful--a refreshing sight for those not accustomed to the beauty of the mountains. I would gladly stay at Glenn's place again. He was highly responsive whenever we had a question and was pleasant to deal with.

Outta the way with super views!

  • 4 of 5

Nice place with a great view. The people at the resort were very helpful and friendly. Glenn was very responsive and accommodating. It's about a half hour of drive time north of Asheville but the drive down to town was spectacular. Mars Hill was close as well as Weaverville. This was a great place to start our day trips around Asheville. We had a great time.

Great 2-week stay!!

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable, very clean and well maintained, spacious, great view of Bald Mountain and nearby mountains. Glenn Golcher, the owner, was very easy to work with and very helpful. The property was everything as advertised on the vrbo web-site. We enjoyed our stay and the Wolf Laurel resort very much, absolutely loved the fabulous window-wall, the expansive deck, the cooler temps, and the Magic-Jack service provided which enabled internet phone calls when cell phone service was not available. Very friendly, kind neighbor in the next cabin down the road. Everyone we met in Wolf Laurel was very friendly and helpful. We will be back next summer, hopefully for an even longer stay!

Wolf Laurel Chalet

  • 4 of 5

We had 4 people stay here it was a great amount of space for the 4 of us. We were looking for that home away from home feeling and we definitely got it here.

We all felt like we had our privacy, the chalets weren't on top of one another which was great.

This cabin is amazing! Our stay was perfect plenty of space for everyone, the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is beautiful and has everything needed to cook a full meal for 6. The cabin has a great view of bald mountain which I suggest hiking while you are there its worth the view from the top. Glenn was very hospitable and returned my messages very quickly, he is great to work with. I travel a lot for snowboarding and mountain biking and I KNOW I will be returning to this cabin. It was perfect for us.

Love the location

  • 4 of 5

We were looking forward to our stay at the Chalet. The owner was very helpful in giving us accurate directions. The location of the Chalet was ideal for all the local attractions. The area is beautiful and has so many things to offer visitors. We loved the fact the owner left us all kinds of brochures so we could plan our stay as well as making himself available if we needed anything. We truly enjoyed the Wolf Laurel area and the people there.

I think our biggest problem revolved around one of the roads our GPS took us on. It told us to take Upper Higgins Creek road to get back to the Chalet faster. But it turned out to be a desolate, unpaved and dangerous road, which surely required 4 wheel drive to get through.
