Having a blast here on Caribou Lake! Great retro cabin with all the amenities and CLEAN & COMFORTABLE...caught some great fish for dinner...including a 20" Bass...the fire pit and s'mores capped off the evenings...
We had a fantastic stay. The cabin was just the right size; the woods were beautiful, crystal clear lake. The girls loved the ice cream at the Pine Cone.
What a wonderful place.
Very well kept, well furnished property on a nice, clean, relatively quiet lake. A nice place to rest at a fair price. Thumbs up.
My husband, two teen children, and 2 dogs arrived on a Saturday at the end of July after a long drive. We were very excited to see such a beautiful cabin, and, as we made our way to the lake, we could not believe how clear and calm the water was. The lake was deep enough so that, when we jumped off the end of the dock, we were not able to touch. The water was so clear, we could see fish swimming around the dock. We fished off of the dock and were able to catch a few fish, had good luck especially around 6 p.m. There was a deck off of the upper level where we were able to enjoy our coffee in the early morning hours and even saw a hummingbird or two fly around the deck. The sound of the loons in the morning and evenings was enjoyable. We had a wonderful view of the lake from the upstairs and downstairs living areas. The owners provided everything you could think of to cook with, and bringing your own food was truly the only thing you really need to bring. It was quiet and peaceful with no close neighbors, and we truly felt like we had our own slice of paradise for a week! They provided games and puzzles, which I enjoyed during some downtime (love puzzles). I cannot say enough good about this rental - I would recommend it to anyone and already have recommended it to a few friends from home. If you are searching for a nice, quiet, peaceful, and beautiful setting, you WILL find it here. Thank you for having us!
The property and setting are beautiful the only glitch was losing power for most of our stay. A storm came thru and knocked out power on 7/2 and as of 7/4 was not restored so we ended up leaving early. The other couple we were with stayed longer and reported the power not coming on until 7/6. The owners might want to invest in a backup power source....
What a joy it was to spend the last week in September in God's Country and this charming home. I hit peak color! The owners have truly thought of everything & then some in appointing this home w/ creature comforts that I have never experienced in any other rental. The kitchen was especially well appointed! I'm a cook, and brought a lot of things I didn't need! The living area's were extremely comfortable and although I was looking for a "simpler time", I did enjoy the Wi-Fi & Directv! My only complaint was the hard mattress. However, I plan to be back next year & if they haven't replaced the mattress, I'll just bring my feather topper! They thoughtfully posted helpful notes around the house to help you navigate & help keep the place in the fine shape that its in. Hint: The house is much bigger than it looks in the pictures and there's lots of outside space, too! It's one of those places you just want to leave a little better than you found it! Thanks again!
