About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, 4 Sleeps

Cottage situated in rural area with a view of the Bridgers, Tobacco Roots, Hyalite, and Spanish Peaks. Come enjoy the stars in our hot tub! Relax, and enjoy the quiet. The wildlife in the area is a wonderful thing to enjoy. We have been enjoying seeing over 200 elk on Springhill Rd., just eight miles from the Bungalow. We often see bald eagles, coyotes, deer, hawks, wild turkeys, sand hill cranes, and other wonderful sights!

About Reta Terrell

We built this home for our daughter. When she married and moved to Florida, we decided to use it as a vacation rental. When she visits, we block the dates so she can stay in her home with her family.

Reta Terrell purchased this house in 2005

Why Reta Terrell chose Montana

We have actually had this property since 1987. We love rural Montana. The animals and views from the bungalow are at the doorstep! It is quiet and a great retreat!

What makes this house unique

Not being in the city and having street lights is an amazing way to enjoy the night sky. Some guests tell us they haven't seen the stars, being from a large city. The brilliance of the sky, and relaxing in the hot tub is amazing. We don't have an 'off' season in Montana. Each season has adventures to explore! We run the hot tub all year. :)

Great place to relax and enjoy time with family.

  • 5 of 5

The Bridger bungalow was a great place to spend Thanksgiving and a few days with family. It was quite tastefully decorated, very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was fabulous. It was very well maintained and the view of the Bridger Mountains awesome.

Reta was a great host and if we have opportunity we would rent the Bridger Bungalow again.

Owner's Response: We keep the hot tub going year round. Many guests from cities say they haven't seen stars so bright, and falling stars always a delight, since we don't have street lights! The night sky is a show all its own!!!!!!!!

Loved the View and the Hot Tub

  • 5 of 5

We were here to visit our children and grandchildren and this home allowed us to host meals, game nights and hot tub stargazing for our family when we weren't out and about with activities. The AC was a big plus since there was some smoke in the area from the wildfires in YNP and the yard is beautifully kept. It was great waking up to a mountain view, sandhill cranes making racket, mule deer grazing in the adjoining field, and bluebirds flying about. We enjoyed our stay!

Amazing View, Close to Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

There is something to be said about waking up to sitting on a porch with a cup of coffee and the sun over the mountains. The three of us came down to Montana for the week and found this place to be amazing. It's spacious, great view and close to Bozeman and both the North and West entrance to Yellowstone. We had a terrific time and especially appreciated the view of the stars from the hot tub. Thank you! We'll be back.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you had a good time. With the bungalow being in the country, city lights don't hide the bright stars! We love the very dark nights and the diamonds in the sky! Many times deer pass through, and it all adds to the peace we hope our guests can enjoy.

Very Comfortable and Hot Tub Great

  • 5 of 5

I was in Montana to Fly fish the Yellowstone, Madison and the Gallatin Rivers with my fishing buddy Bob. We had a fantastic 10 day trip, of which we spent 5 days in the Bungalow. It is very comfortable and private although there are other residences around. The view off the front porch of sunrise over the mountains was spectacular. The hot tub at night with the stars overhead was something I will never forget. If you're lucky enough to enjoy the rainbows down the valley toward Bozeman consider that experience a never-to-forget joy. One morning we had a Mule Deer family in the front yard where they had spent the night. We highly recommend it and if we come back to the area they will be first on the list.

Be sure to eat at Ted's Montana Grille in Bozeman. Great food and great service. The Cafe Francois Des Arts is a wonderful french cafe with great coffee and pastries made fresh every morning. Cant say enough great things about Bozeman and Montana.

Highest possible recommendation

  • 5 of 5

The Bridger View Bungalow served as the perfect base for a wonderful 2 week stay. This is a 2 story property, fairly new construction, with all of the amenities and design touches that now can be found in well built homes. It easily sleeps 4 in two very nice bedrooms with en suite facilities – one upstairs and one downstairs, each with associated living areas which creates a separate space for kids, or friends vacationing together. The property is very clean, fresh and well maintained. The beds and furnishings are very clean and comfortable, and I had the clear sense that this was originally designed to accommodate a family member, and NOT a property populated with castoff furnishings. In short, I felt like I was living in a well appointed, very well maintained home and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is ideal. It is about 7 minutes/5 miles from the airport. Despite that proximity, from the property you have no idea that an airport is anywhere close. The rolling countryside leading up to the Bridger range is sparsely populated and covered with large farms and ranches. I very much had the feeling that I was living in the country. Finally, the views are spectacular. The porch faces the Bridger range with beautiful views in the morning and evening. At night, the view of the Milky Way from the driveway is breathtaking. I was able to capture the night sky in amazing detail – even spotting in one picture a line across the Milky Way made by a passing satellite. As a microbiologist, I am skeptical of hot tubs. However, I found this one to be very clean and well maintained. It is new, high-end, and provided an unbelievably relaxing way to view the night on a cool Montana evening. In summary, I felt like I was staying in a home as clean and well maintained as imaginable. It conferred the sense that the owners cared very much for the property, but were not intrusive. I can’t wait to go back, and would recommend it to my closest friends and relatives with great enthusiasm. It is a gem in the beautiful Montana countryside, with ready access to the airport, Bozeman, Yellowstone. Ideal.

Owner's Response: We always hope that our guests truly feel at home. Montana has so much to offer during any season. Not being in the city the night sky is beautiful. The hot tub on a dark night with a starlite sky affords ones to unwind and relax and at least for the moment escape everyday cares of life in general. Deer frequent the property, occaisional fox, numberous birds, etc.
