Relaxing Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Great location to sit back and unwind from all the hustle and bustle!!

Right on the lake with a dock to jump off, sit and enjoy the view of the lake and Shawnee Peak or dock a boat. We enjoyed being on the water with our family and swam/floated each day in the lake which was warm and clean. There are several marinas close by to rent a boat for a few days or the week. Moose Pond is a peaceful lake. Included with the cabin is a kayak and a canoe with life jackets. It was a clean cabin with a well stocked kitchen (dishes, pans, and utensils) to cook inside or on the gas grill which includes a burner & pot to boil up some Maine Lobsters.

The fire pit is fun to sit around at night and toast marshmallows, look at the stars or tell some stories. Make sure to grab some fire wood on your way in to the cabin.

About a 15 minute drive to downtown if you need to run and grab food from the market, want to do some antiquing or go out for a bite to eat. Highly recommend Beth's Kitchen. I would also recommend the drive-in movie theater in town.

Looking forward to a return trip next year.

Hidden gem

  • 4 of 5

All as described, location nice and quiet. Right on the water the dock was a huge plus, we brought our 20 foot walk around. Spent most of the week tubing, fishing and just swimming off the back of the boat. Pond area we were on is about 600 acres. Property was clean and well maintained, new kitchen, nice patio out back. Used Home Away for the booking, worked out pretty good. Renter available by text at any time. The town of Bridgton is a about 10 minuets away. Small town with all your need's. Would stay there again even it being about 4 hours from Boston.

Great Peaceful Cabin Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Great Cabin Getaway!! Close enough to the center of town for whatever you may need at the Suoermarket, little quaint shops, restaurants, and even a movie theatre...but far enough away for a quiet peaceful get away. Located right on the lake for some kayaking or canoeing, or just sitting on the dock checking out the sunset! Sleeps 8 easily, has a nice sitting room small dinette space and kitchen area. Or grill up something on the outdoor gas grill and enjoy outside on the outdoor patio. Clean and well maintained and the property owner is extremely pleasant to deal with. . Well worth the price, and a great getaway! : )
