About the Owner

My husband and I met several years ago. We shared many similar interests, the greatest of which was our love for beauty of the White Mountains, great food and fine spirits.

My husband, Nate has spent his adult life in the service of his country. He has traveled the world and experienced so much. After several years of learning about one another, discovering how our lives, our passions and our goals truly complimented each other we decided that we wanted to share the joys we experience together with others. We bought Riverside Farm together with the sole desire to share our farm house and the beauty of the White Mountains with others.

Lisa & Sue,

I wanted to take a minute to thank you both for a wonderful weekend! We had a fabulous time. The house was beautiful, warm and cozy. We were so happy to meet Susan, and the girls had a nice night of chatter on our final night Wewere so sorry to hear about Susan's sister passing. I hope that the few hours spent with Cheryl and Linda helped her in some small way. Thanks also for allowing us the opportunity to wait out the storm, the extra day helped as we were able to fly home on dry roads. Other who panicked were much less fortunate and spent several extra hours on the road home. Your hospitality was greatly appreciated. The constant snow just added a note of magic to the whole weekend, as well as allowing us to meet your friends Jamie and Jamie Jr. All in all it was truly a Great North Woods weekend. We hopefully look forward to returning, maybe even in the fall.

All our best,

Mark & Linda Pecci (and the gang)

Absolutely Amazing

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the farm house was extraordinary. The place is beautiful, the scenery was breath taking, and everything was exceptional. However, the best of the best was meeting Sue. We had the high tea which was prepared beyond what we could have imagined. Sue is a warm wonderful, gracious, hostess that made our stay unforgettable.

Owner's Response: Stan, Carol & Lynda, It was such a pleasure having you stay at the farm. We are so pleased that you enjoy the beauty of the area as much as we do, that is why we love sharing the farm with our guests. Sue was so glad that you all enjoyed your High Tea event that you scheduled with us. Sue loves to share her talents when she prepares all the freshly baked scones, savory delicacies and mouth watering desserts. We consider our guest family and if you are ever back up this way we would love to be able to host you again and offer you our repeat guest rate. Thank you for the lovely review, Lisa Reed - Owner

Beautiful, historical house

  • 5 of 5

We always wanted to spend time in NH during the fall and we hit the jackpot this year! Not only did we choose the right week, we picked the right vacation home too....It was large, fun to have our son and his family, who live 1mile away, spend most of the meals with us. The huge country kitchen was fun to cook in, we had a gas-Weber grill outside on the back deck too, so easy for burgers, salmon, chicken, or any easy grilled meal. We are an outdoors athletic family, so spent our days hiking, climbing, and biking..... Lots of areas to hike and climb, with the mountains nearby.... There was a large coat-boot room before entering the kitchen, so we kept our equipment and bikes there too. There was a washer and dryer in the house, so easy to keep clothes clean too. We plan on coming back in the winter, since the skiing is exceptional.....not only downhill, but cross-country too. There are many ski resorts close, If you want the big names, Stowe is just across the border in Vermont, you can see Vermont right out the kitchen window. They also have the Olympic Ski team making their home this winter at Cannon Mountain....which my son and family ski at. It's a local ski resort that has all the amenities.....There are many cross-country ski trails, that they groom daily too.... The caretaker lives on-site, so she is available if you need her too....All in all, it was hard to leave. I could stay there for months...love New Hampshire...

Owner's Response: Allen & Candace, It was wonderful having you both and your family at the Farm. I am so glad that your visit was timed so brilliantly. You got to experience one of the most beautiful times of year. Peak Foliage has always been my favorite and to have guests appreciate all the colors of fall is why we love sharing our little farm house. You took such good care of the farm house, treating it as if it were your own,. We appreciate your praises, and will look forward to having you back any time your travels bring you back to Northern New Hampshire. The next season you mentioned is my second favorite. When that first snowfall occurs it is so beautiful. The roaring fire in the living room and the wood stove in the kitchen make it so cozy, after a full day of skiing there is nothing better. I do hope that we get to see you again in the future for all this time of year has to offer. Thanks again for such a wonderful review you will always be part of our Farm house family, Warm Regards, Lisa Reed - Owner

Beautiful home with lots of space for a family of 4. My wife loved the kitchen and each of our kids got to have their own room. Big plate of fresh baked brownies greeted us when we arrived.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. Lisa was very helpful and ensured will have all that was needed during our stay. The rooms were well equipped and open kitchen was great for a large family. The view of the sunset from the deck was spectacular as well. I would recommend staying at this property. Thanks once again.....

Wonderful Experience

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful experience my 3 sisters and I had at Riverside Farm. From the moment we arrived (which was ll PM in pouring rain from Boston A/P) Lisa greeted us, and could not do enough to make our stay one of the most memorable we have experienced. Starting with the delicious coffee cake awaiting us the next morning, to the "Sisters High Noon Tea" I had pre-arranged with Lisa and her Mom, Sue, as a surprise for my sisters, it was so much more than I had expected. If you go to this delightful farmhouse, you must arrange for Lisa and her Mom to cook a meal or two for you - they are both superb cooks! The rooms are large, beds very comfortable, kitchen is huge, and the scenery out back is beautiful - especially for us Florida gals! There is a covered bridge down the road, the town of Littleton is near by and great for a day of shopping, and the town of Lancaster even has a movie theater! We four sisters felt like we had acquired two more sisters by the time we left - will definitely be returning!
