My family and I have stayed in over 30 units, via VRBO and this unit is in my top three. The pictures and video are exactly as described, which was clean, decorated nicely, and have more than enough room for our family of 6, along with one additional grandparent.
Siesta Beach is continually ranked as one of the top beaches in the World and I now understand why this is. From the moment you walk on the sand, it feels like a mixture of sugar and flour filtering through one's toes. Also, being that it;s 99% quartz, the heat reflects off of the sand, thus the reason the sand is always cool, even in the dead of Summer.
Restaurants in Siesta Village are typical beach food with the exception of The Hub, which the owner of the unit was kind enough to turn my family and I onto. We had a great time and will recommend this unit to all our friends and family!
The location was great. This unit was right across the street from Costco and the mall. Target and Publix were right around the corner along with plenty of restaurant choices as well. It was a short 10 mile drive to Siesta Key beach and the village where we spent most of our time.
The unit itself was updated, clean and well maintained. We had the max number of people (7) and it was just a tad on the small side for that amount of people but it worked just fine. The owner Ed was very nice and easy to work with and made sure the unit had everything we needed. The large main pool was very nice and we enjoyed the basketball court daily. We also liked the convenience of the car wash and vacuum station on the property.
We recommend others to rent this unit and enjoy Sarasota and Siesta Key like we did!
From the prompt responses to our emails to the flowers and wine waiting for us as we entered this beautiful unit, we have been thoroughly impressed! The unit is better then pictures can portray, as it's very spacious with plenty of natural light. In addition, all tapestries, linens, and furniture were new, as was the beautiful entertainment center.
The unit is very centrally located to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. We are a family of 6 and we always were on the go with something fun and new to do.
The beaches are a gift from God, as the sand is as fine as sugar, yet as cool as the other side of the pillow. The waters are emerald blue in color and rival that of many Carribean destinations we have been to.
In closing, we had a wonderful time, which exceeded all of our expectations! We look forward to staying again and enjoying this unit, as well as the beautiful white sands of siesta key beach!
Family of 6 vacationing from Ohio. My initial impression was one of surprise! This was a vacation/anniversary tip for us, and the owner had a dozen roses waiting for us, along with a bottle of champaign! This was quite a pleseant surprise indeed. The unit is very tastefully decorated in a Key West meets the Mediterranean type of feel. Having stayed in many vacation rentals throughout the years, we very much appreciated the higher end touches this unit has. The unit has two screened lanai which we enjoyed having our coffee in the morning as the sun came up. In addition, the entertainment system is high end and not like anything I would expect from a rental; however, along with the beautiful flooring, and high end appliances, I can see why so many positive reviews have been written.
Siesta Beach is a World-Class beach, which we loved and wish we could stay forever! We will stay here again, as my family and I enjoyed every minute of our stay.
I guess the owner's standards of cleanliness and ours are very different..we had to dust every day and the dust was very dark...we have filters at home which we change every 4 weeks and they are not as dirty. The lanai is not inviting either, dusty with an old broom in the corner and there is NO FUNCTIONAL LIGHTING OUTSIDE. The socket for the light is broken. There is a big palm tree in front of the lanai which blocks the sun. As most of the time we are in the living room, it is dark in the unit. We are not the type of individuals who do not clean at all during our stay. We are clean people and we took care of the unit as it was ours. The doors of the space where the dryer is located blocks the opening of the dryer door...try it you will see. The doors of all rooms need fresh paint as well as the baseboards which are dusty, dirty ... Kitchen cupboards and other storage space need a good cleaning. As the title says it is nicely decorated, but cleanliness as nothing to do with decoration and proper maintenance should be done on a regular basis. It was important for us to clarify with a second review as the owner's response gives the impression that we are very old people with frail health which is not the case; we are active people who likes to go on vacation in a nice clean place! The owner forgot to cover the spider webs on the ceiling of the entrance and the lighting outside down the stairs. We hope the owner will use our comments in a constructive way in order to improve the quality of stay for future visitors!
This condo is located on a second floor something to think about when you have to carry groceries, luggages, etc. It is nicely decorated but there is very little natural light coming in because of the palm trees that block the sun. This unit is very dusty and it is difficult to know when the air filters have been changed and the ducts properly cleaned. Not the ideal place for people with allergies. The lanai needs to be cleaned as well and properly lighted if you want to go there at night. The kitchen cupboards are not clean. Fresh paint is needed on doors and boards. The doors of the area where the dryer is located blocks the opening of the dryer door. In summary, there is repairs, cleaning and painting to be done. When going down the stairs, proper lighting would insure security and prevent dangerous situations. The ceiling where the entrance to the condo is located is covered with spider webs which is not very inviting.
