About the Owner

I was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. I am a die-hard Wolverine fan, having earned my Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Michigan. I moved to Arizona in 1994 for the warm, dry climate. I purchased the home in Rocky Point in 2007 after making a bundle on the sale of my home (thank you real estate bubble!). I currently live in the Phoenix area with my wife, Tammy, and our three kids. We love the warm, dry climate of Arizona and enjoy the similar climate of Rocky Point, with the added advantage of having an ocean nearby. We are both avid scuba divers and love to dive with the sea lions at Bird Island. We've been down to Rocky Point nearly 100 times and have never had any issues. The locals and expats are all as friendly as can be. It is truly a fun and laid back atmosphere. We are excited for every chance we get to visit.

Nice House

Thanksgiving in RP

Had a wonderful time in rocky point over the Thanksgiving Giving holiday. Accommodations are always a big contributing part to the overall experience and this place did not disappoint. Location is off the beaten path (which we wanted) but close enough for a quick drive to the amenities. The place is clean, well maintained, comfortable and secure. Has a locking double wide swing gate in front and secure little backyard area. Easy pickup/drop off of keys and away you go to start your vacation. We will be back soon.

Fantastic Property!

Rented this property for two nights during the Rocky Point Rally. Couldn't have asked for a better location, literally 3 blocks from Capone's where we start off every day anyway. The home was nice and neat, we had no issues whatsoever and the fact that you can lock your car or bikes behind the gate is such a bonus. Clean home with everything working. Heard a few dogs barking, but mostly because of the bikes revving their pipes, doubt that happens very often. If you don't need the resort pools or spend most of your time on Calle 13 or the Malecon this is a great place to stay. I almost regret writing this review because I want it to always be available when I go down to Rocky Point. Thanks for a great stay!

Adorable home

House was perfect, fan clicked in the one bedroom but other then that it was nice. The location was little to be desired though, dirt road, neighbors dog barks alot throughout the night and a rooster screeching away in the early morning.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the four star review. I'm glad you liked the home! As for the parts you didn't like... Welcome to Mexico! Nothing says Mexico like a rooster crowing in the morning. I love that! I love having the dogs around too! However, I do understand that staying among locals, off the beaten path, may not be for everyone. One person's charming is another person's "little to be desired". I hope it's clear from our web site that we're not the typical Americanized resort vacation. The description, photos and cost should make that pretty clear. I will have the handyman check out the fan noise. For future renters, the home does have central air, so turning off the ceiling fan is an option.

Classic cottage

The cottage is perfect. Off the beaten track, quiet neighborhood, extremely clean and we'll maintained. Read instructions carefully for hot water, as the owner is meticulous about writing them out. They made everything obvious and easy for a peaceful getaway. The stray dogs sleep during the day and bicker once or twice a night. Great base of operations to go explore the ocean and all its amenities.

AWESOME HOUSE

WE LOVED THIS HOUSE AND WHERE IT WAS LOCATED. IT WAS NOT ON THE BEACH BUT WAS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE, AND A FEW RESTAURANTS AND BARS WERE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. TOO BAD WE DIDN'T KNOW HOW GREAT THIS HOUSE WAS OR WE WOULD HAVE STAYED MUCH LONGER THAN THE 4 DAYS .THANK YOU ERIC AND DEE YOU WERE BOTH A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. WE HOPE TO COME BACK VERY SOON

Location

From the Owner

I fell in love with the place as soon as I saw it. The location was ideal, being close to restaurants and stores and within walking distance of the beach. It was brand new when I bought it and I appreciated that it was built by an American who actually lives across the street. I like the enclosed, gated driveway, the walled in back yard, and the large cupula (dome) in the living room. But most of all, I feel at peace when I enter the front door. It's just such a cozy, comfortable space. For me, it's not just a house or investment property, it's HOME. That's why I ask anybody who wants to stay there: Please treat the place like it's your home... Thank you!

In addition, Homeaway will not refund their service fee. Therefore, you will be refunded all amounts paid less the $75 cancellation fee and Homeaway service fee. All payments made will be forfeited if your reservation is canceled less than 30 days from your arrival date. Check-in is at 4:00 PM unless prior arrangements are made. Check-out is 12:00 Noon on day of departure. Flexibility on check-in and check-out times is dependent on our schedule of renters and the schedule of our cleaning crew. Please let us know if you need more time and we will try to work with your schedule. However, we reserve the right to charge additional nights if check-in and check-out times are not observed.
