The house has a million dollar view from the deck. The owners were very friendly and responded in a timely manner. Location is convenient ; close to stores, restarants and the beach. Enjoy your stay!
Great area and location. Here for the race weekend and had everything you needed. The owner and son were very helpful. Would come back and stay again
Plenty of space and close to everything
This rental had plenty of space for my whole family. It was close to everything and the view was amazing. We had a lot of fun and would definitely rent this unit again.
A wonderful week at Weirs
My family and I enjoyed our week-long stay here for a Weir's beach/Winnipesauke vacation. We wined, dined, hiked, kayaked, boated, beached, swam, mini-golfed, Fun-spotted and had a wonderful trip... this rental served as a nice headquarters for all of it. The owner was easy to get in touch with and the property comes as pictured/described. It was a cozy fit for our 4 bedroom group but the location made up for it, as all activities were only a short walk or drive away. If you're an early riser, wake up for sunrise in the morning. You won't be disappointed by the view from the balcony!
Numerous Mechanical Problems. Rude Landlord.
Upon arrival, the house was as expected based on the description and photos on this website. However, we were completely dissatisfied with the numerous mechanical issues and more importantly, the lack of customer service the landlord provided.
After arriving, we knew something was wrong based on the large water stain in the 2nd floor bedroom and the musty smell within the house. It turns out that one of the bedrooms was completely inhabitable due to the floor being soaked in water. This resulted in water leaking through the floor and into the light fixture in the kitchen below. In addition to the water, the refrigerator was not working leaving us with $600 worth of food and alcohol going to waste. Being a homeowner, I understand that things break. However, the problem is that most of the issues were not addressed and that ones that were addressed, were poorly managed.
After talking to the landlord, it turns out, the bedroom carpet had been recently cleaned and her belief was it would dry in a few hours. After 5 days (and keeping the landlord updated on the progress), it only got worse. The leak was so bad, we were collecting buckets of water and were not able to use the light in the kitchen at all.
In regards to the refrigerator, the landlord offered to store our food in her sons unit directly below. However, this was inconvenient as we had to contact him when we needed something. A new one was delivered in 2 days. However, the landlord refused to take time off work for the delivery and gave my phone number to Lowe's without asking. We were forced to alter our plans to accommodate the delivery of her fridge (her other recommendation was to leave the place unlocked while we were gone). We decided to stay with our belongings during the delivery.
On the day we left, her son came by and offered us reimburesement for our inconvenience. We agreed to the terms. However, I received a call from the landloard 2 days later saying her son was not permited to negotiate on her behalf and offered us just below half of what we had agreed to with her son. Her reasons were irrationale despite me providing proof of how many people were inconvenienced and leaving physical receipts at the house for how much we spent on replaciing spoiled food.
Linda bribed us with $100 to not leave a review. We respectfully declined because we wanted to make sure people are aware of the issues and poor customer service. I would not recommend this rental to anyone.
It is unfortunate that unexpected things happen during a guest's
weekly stay. I sincerely apologized many times for the inconvenience incurred during their stay. I disagree with many of the accusations this guest has stated, and It is important that the public know What truly happened during their stay. It is true that the refrigerator suddenly stopped working shortly after this guest arrived on July 3rd, 2014. Guest accepted my offer to store all frozen items which only consisted of seven steaks and ice cream in my freezer located On the first floor Directly below his unit until he needed these items. I worked diligently to get a replacement Refrigerator/Freezer As quickly as possible. A new replacement refrigerator/ freezer arrived The morning of July 5th At which time the The frozen items were returned to the guest. The guest and his party of six arrived in the evening of July 3rd, Which was Less than 30 hours after their arrival. I also offered the guest a cooler to store any refrigerated items and I was told by the guest they did not need it since the refrigerator was filled with mostly beer and alchohol. Contrary to what guest stated, there was never physical proof of $600 worth of food and or beverage/alcohol purchased And/or ruined. The Carpeting in one of the bedrooms Occupied by a single person became saturated due to a malfunctioning central air conditioning unit, which again was unexpected and has since been corrected and new Carpeting is in the process of bieng Installed. Seven guests stayed in the unit. Guest Accepted a $515 total refund For their inconvenience. I Can assure anyone who reads this, I was not in anyway rude to this guest. I was helpful and accommodating under these unforeseen and unexpected circumstances. Subsequently All other guests who have stayed at my property this summer have experienced a fun time and the unit was in excellent condition, And I feel confident that any future guest will feel the same.
View is the only good part.
Way over priced and extremely dirty. Owner does not bring in cleaning service between renters and you will end up using blankets from previous renters without being washed. Place is dirty and everything is sticky. The only good part is the view. The so called 'private beach' is tiny. We left a day early because I couldn't take it anymore. The AC barely works and the kitchen floor looks like it hasn't been washed in years. You can tell the owner puts $0 into it. Being able to walk to center is pleasant, but I would have rather of driven instead of staying here. We travel a ton and this was the worst rental we have EVER stayed in.
In response to the Review dated August 5,2013, I am perplexed as to why a guest would not inform me of any issues or concerns during their stay. This is the first negative Review I have received. I have rented to Nine other weekly guests during the Summer of 2013 and all guests have been very satisfied with the place and three are return guests from the previous year. All other guests who have stayed at my property have been very happy and enjoyed their stay, without any complaints. Pictures of the property are true to what they can expect during there stay.

Train Rides to Meredith, Monkey Trunks (NOW OPEN!!) (new attraction next to FUNSPOT, the World's largest arcade) Drive-In Theatre nearby.
