You are close to the beach (2 VERY short blocks) AND close to the bay from this location, as the island is very narrow at this point. So many, many, MANY amenities - more than can be listed here. This home was previously used by a very large family as a personal vacation residence. Everything here is first rate, top notch. No expense has been spared. This is truly a vacation 'home away from home'.

Great place but in need of cleaning and repair.

This is a beautiful condo. However, it is now in need of repair. The jacuzzi tub is broken, some of the doors are off hinges, the blinds to several bedrooms did not work hence there was little or no privacy. We spent about 5 hours cleaning the place when we arrived since we had small children. All of the floors were dirty and sticky. The hardwood cleaned up and the bathrooms were not clean to our standards. The rugs should be shampooed since they look nice but your feet get black just walking on them. We called the agent with a list of many items. they were apologetic but I doubt that we will see any money back ...so I would AVOID THIS PROPERTY until they clean it up and repair it.

Owner's Response: Yes, it IS a beautiful townhouse. We have been renting this home since 2010. This Homeaway ad is over SEVEN years old and this is the first negative review received in all that time. The cleaning complaints were simply not valid. This is not a sterile environment. You have to be realistic! This is a 6/7 bedroom beach house that sleeps 20. The floors were suitably clean, but I would not suggest that you put your infant on the floor of a rental property that sleeps 20 people. This home is not advertised to have a jacuzzi tub. No doors were found to be off of hinges. The bathrooms ARE meticulously clean to anyone's standards - cleaned by our own employees and supervisors. These are professional trained experienced cleaning people. The only valid complaint is about some missing slats on vertical blinds and one that would not open or close at all. (They have since been repaired.) Our offers of cleaning crews and other assistance were refused. The only thing that could have made this renter happy would have been money back, and there was no justification for this. This home is booked solid every year, year after year. We have many many MANY happy repeat renters here. I apologize that we could not make Ruth Ann happy here too.

Perfect! Great house, great location!

This house was perfect for our multiple-family vacation, with guests ranging from 2 months to 69 years old. It's hard to believe THAT much space is available in a townhome! The house had everything you'd need, including beach cart and toys, stocked kitchen, outdoor grill... and it's a short walk to the beach- easy enough to make with 3-7 year olds. The boardwalk and a wide assortment of restaurants are a 5-10 minute drive. Added bonus: Don Martin Realty was a pleasure to deal with and hassle-free. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

The back yard is very private, with a grill, picnic table, and a nice outdoor shower. Wireless internet access was great for the teenagers who can't live without it. This is a nice quiet street - very close to the beach. We'll be back in 2013!

Wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful stay. The house was beautiful and was everything we expected. It was a little further away from the beach than we thought but the beach cart was great. We were able to put everything we needed on it for the beach.

The only thing I could say that was needed were TV's in the 2 bedrooms on the bottom floor. We had 4 girls in the room and wanted to watch Tv and one bedroom had 2 adults and a baby. It would have been nice to be able to relaxe and watch Tv while baby was napping. Other than that we had a wonderufl time and would recommend it highly to a large family.
