Why Emmanuel V. Remy chose Russells Point
We purchased this wonderful cottage to provide a great lake experience for our guests and to help with our kids college expenses, years down the road. We are involved in a lot of charities so we wanted a place where we could offer to our charitable organizations as a fundraiser. We love the fact that you can watch the sun rise over the inlet and look to your left to see the sunset. We are conveniently located to get our boat into the open water in a heartbeat, and we can get to all kinds of eating places in just a few blocks.
What makes this House unique
We love our cottage because it is a cottage. It was originally built in the 1930's as a fishing cabin and maintains that quaint feeling of a cottage get-away and not another 'house.'

October Get Away
This property was definitely a cottage on the lake. It reminded us of cottages in our area of the state. It was somewhat "rustic", but, It was very comfortable and very close to restaurants, stores, etc. We had lots of room for relaxing, cooking, eating and sleeping. We used this as a starting point for going to other areas in Ohio, including a wedding in Sidney. It worked out well. The property owner was very helpful and easy to get in touch with once we were inside the cottage. We did think there could have been some instructions for the TV and Internet service. Also, we weren't sure what to do with the garbage, so we took it with us. We did need to buy some paper towels, toilet paper, and garbage bags because we couldn't find any there. If those are items that people need to bring, maybe that should be stated in the details of the property or the owner should let people know ahead of time. It was not a big inconvenience. We just would have brought stuff with us. The cottage was a bit smaller and older than we thought, but overall, we did fine and had a nice time. We liked the lake and the entire area of Russells Point. We would recommend this cottage to others. Just know it isn't brand new. But it was very cozy and comfortable. The neighbors were very nice and helpful, too.
Wish you were here.
Very homey. Owner went over the top to make sure we had everything.
We had a great time. Everything we needed and more was available. A couple of good restaurants nearby and water to look at and enjoy. Very clean. We plan on staying again next year.
The Perfect Spot
We were in town for a family reunion, and staying here made the trip so enjoyable.
It was clean, charming, communication with the owner was easy, and the view of the lake was great.
Would gladly stay here again!
This property was walking distance to many attractions.
This rental was very nice. Our boat was docked across the street. We loved the view of the lake.
The location is excellent and the owner is very helpful and responsive. The cabin is within walking distance to a number of restaurants and shops and right across the street from the water with awesome views of the lake. We would definitely stay here again!!
Just a short walk to convenient restaurants (pizza, ribs, McDonald's or even ice cream). Just minutes away from other restaurants, shops, and evening entertainment.
You will find the paved walking path starting just one and a half blocks away. Bring your bikes and walking shoes!
