Wonderful 2 week stay!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this beautiful home for 2 weeks during the holidays! We felt so at home as this home has everything you need to feel comfortable! The kitchen is spacious and well stocked. The living room has a beautiful view of the bay. Great location-close to grocery stores and restaurants. The property manager was so nice to work with. I highly recommend this beautiful home. I am looking forward to planning our next visit.

Beautiful Home - Perfect Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Pictures do not do the house justice - it is absolutely gorgeous. The backyard and the views are stunning and the sunsets are breathtaking. The lawn is the perfect size for hanging out, and we made great use of the crab pots and kayaks. We also coordinated with a local boat owner to bring a boat to the dock, which was very fun and convenient. The town itself provided a great time as well, with lots of colorful dock bars and restaurants in the near vicinity. Note that there are no fences, however, so you will have to keep an eye on any pups that you bring with you, also, remember to bring your own linens (paper products were provided for us). We would definitely stay at this hidden gem again.

Great Girls' Weekend

  • 4 of 5

Pictures of property didn't really do it justice! Enough room for the five of us and bathrooms. Glad rental was available for less than a week (we stayed Thurs.-Sunday).

Had good weather and enjoyed just "hanging out." Loved casual atmosphere of The Jetty. Met the owner and were well taken care of during our visit!

Great waterfront location

  • 5 of 5

We have visited the area two other times and stayed elsewhere and this home far exceeded those experiences. We were there for an event rolled into a girl's weekend and we had a blast. The view and sunsets are definitely the highlights. The home itself is beautiful and very clean. We used the gas grill and cooked in the large, beautiful kitchen. The beds were very comfortable but don't forget to bring your own linens and bath, hand, beach towels. I've rented many homes from VRBO but this was the first where there were no cleaning or paper products (dishwasher or laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, etc). But I'm sure they'll remedy this in the future with a "starter" kit. The bonus with this house is the kayaks and crab pots. We did a lot of sunbathing on the dock (bring some beach chairs) and swimming in the bay. We will definitely be back next year.

WONDERFUL EARLY SPRING EXPERIENCE

  • 5 of 5

This home is beautifully remodeled and nestled in a quiet neighborhood. A wall of windows for viewing the water and landscaped grounds! So clean and well-appointed; gives this property a home-like feel. This is an area we had never visited, but, will definitely look for an opportunity to return. We use the bringfido website because we travel with our beloved family pet. There wasnt a whole lot of choices for pet-friendly restaurants in the area, but, it wasnt quite warm enough for their "seasonal" time. We explored the area by car along Main St and found a trail that we loved called Cross Island Trail. We wanted to visit The Narrows, but ran out of time. Along Main Street we found a wonderful family owned fish market and bought our fresh fish from them to prepare in this wonderful, open kitchen.

The property manager was quick to respond from beginning to end of the visit. Our plans were so last minute, they didnt require a deposit, which was an unexpected pleasantry. So, I didnt have to worry with watching for when and if it was returned to us. The concerns we had were minimal, and addressed right away. We wouldnt hesitate to return to this lovely home.

Perfect low-key family get away

  • 4 of 5

If you're looking for a low-key getaway, this is the place. The house was absolutely beautiful, topped only by the view of the Bay.

The house is very nicely decorated. The kitchen is very large with plenty of storage. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms spacious. The living room furniture wasn't as comfy, but it was ok. The cable (TV) and wireless were very spotty, which was a bit bothersome at first. After a few days, it almost forced us to unplug, which was actually a welcome excuse to avoid working while on vacation. The video wiring was a little bit of an eyesore and may have contributed to the spotty TV reception.

There isn't much to do in town, but the location is close enough to other high-traffic areas if you want more action.

We swam off the dock a few times but I consider this more of a fishing/boating area rather than a swimming area. There is no "beach" or ability to walk out of the water. You have to use the dock to get in and out of the water. Again, not a big deal, just so you're aware.

The home uses well water that has a VERY strong smell of iron, which is something that we are unaccustomed to as city water folks.

Pet-owners, please note that the property is not fenced in. One of the next door neighbors was very touchy about our dogs nearing his property. Yes, I said nearing, not encroaching on. The other neighbor was fine. There is a WONDERFUL "mudroom" area where we kept the dog kennel while we were out to dinner, etc.

Overall, I recommend this property and would enjoy staying there again.
