We stay three nights right before the Memorial Day weekend

Thank you for letting us to stay in your cabin!

Very nice and cozy cabin, huge plus that it has two full bathrooms, the kitchen is fully equipped, the decor in a cabin is little bit overwhelmed I would remove something but it is not a deal breaker. Pool is in a walking distance and we enjoyed the hut-tub on the balcony with a forest view. Very convenient to get to Gatlinburg downtown.

We will definitely get back there.

3 night stay in early May

  • 2 of 5

We had a relaxing stay at the cabin, away from the congestion of Gatlinburg.

There were a few issues we however had. One was how loud the hot tub pumping

ran in the middle of the night for 2-3 hours, keeping us awake. It was very loud and disturbing. We guess it was something with the system that had to be done, but why in the middle of the night?? The directions posted seemed so harsh we didn't even want to go near

using the hot tub. Table and chairs on the deck by the hot tub were very dirty also.

Also, There was mold in the shower and dust in places around the cabin, not as clean as we

would have liked.

Owner's Response: As I read this comment I was struck by the fact that it is unfortunate that although my personal cell phone and e-mail are readily accessible by any guest you chose to go behind a keyboard in a public forum in an attempt to address a problem. I always respond to any guest call , text or e-mail when a question about our cabin or the furnishings there on site arise. Perhaps you did not take the time to read any of the guest comments or our personal owner's messages to our guests that are contained in the guest books that are there in the cabin. If you did , you would have learned about our attachment and affection to the Smoky Mountain area and the fact that this is our only cabin. A true home away from home that we travel to several times per year as well as open our doors to guests such as yourselves. As such , when we read such comments it is much akin to telling me that I have a homely child. Nevertheless , I will address your concerns in a manner that is more gracious than what was afforded to me. As it relates to the hot tub - if it is cycling at night (or at any time) that is how it circulates to maintain the heat. It is a function of when it needs heat and not relative to the hour of the day. If it bothered you , I am sorry. As to the "harsh" instructions - if specific instructions were not warranted , we would not have posted them. To the point - it pertains to not damaging the cover (which is a $350 item) and do not add water. Beyond that , the instructions are pretty basic. Regarding the outdoor furniture being dirty and the cabin not being "as clean" as you would like - again we have numerous reviews and compliments regarding the cleanliness of our cabin including people who were there just before you and just after you. Our cleaner takes this very sincerely and she does an excellent job. Might there be some "dust"? Of course. That would be found in anyone's home (also likely in your own) Lastly - regarding your use of the term "mold" I do believe there may be some areas of the shower where the white caulking may need to be replaced and I will contact my maintenance man to do that prior to our next trip in July. I do take exception however to a reference that there is "mold" in the cabin. Simply not the case. In closing , again it is unfortunate that you chose not to contact me directly. I am not able to address any problems that I do not know about. I am glad that you had a "relaxing stay" away from the congestion.

Beautiful cabin. Rustic and charming. Made us feel at home.

  • 5 of 5

We fell in love with the cabin as soon as we walked in. The home decor is very charming. It was nice to have all the amenities of home. The beds and couch are very comfortable. The hot tub was such a treat to come home to and relax in after a long day of excitement and sightseeing. Anyone can tell that you care a great deal for your property and want people to feel at home. We loved our stay and are sad to go home but we will most definitely be back again.
