About Jay Vetter
We retired to Estes Park in 2013 after living in Nebraska for 40 years.
Jay Vetter purchased this Studio in 2009
Why Jay Vetter chose Estes Park
The property includes a home in which we live and garage with a loft apartment above it in addition to the cottage. We bought it as our retirement home because of its location and great mountain views. We have vacationed here regularly since 1970 and have always wanted to spend more time here.
What makes this Studio unique
We appreciate that we have extra space for family to visit and are also able to generate a little extra income while welcoming guests who love this area as much as we do.

Perfect weekend getaway
My husband and I wanted to get away from the Texas heat for a long weekend and enjoy hiking in RMNP. Jay's cottage was the perfect home base for us! It was conveniently located very close to the entrance to RMNP without having to deal with the Estes Park tourist traffic. But it was also just a few minutes from downtown Estes Park when we did need to run into town to grab some food or supplies. The cottage was very clean, very quiet, had a lovely view from the back porch, and was just what we needed after 3 days of long hikes in the park. I'd highly recommend this cottage to anyone that wants to enjoy the beauty of RMNP!
This stay exceeded our expectations! The cabin was very cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for our 10 night stay. The cabin is located in a quieter part of town right near the park, which we really liked. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We hope to return and would absolutely stay here again!
Nice cabin. Not so nice neighborhood.
Property was nice. Too bad it sits in a depressed neighborhood.
Perfect getaway spot.
Very clean and had everything we needed, thank you! :)
Wonderful stay, the cabin was nice and cozy. Far enough away from the downtown area, but not too far. Close enough to get to the mountains in a very short drive
Great cozy cottage with a great view, the owner was very nice and it’s very close to the entrance to the national park!
