About Jay Vetter

We retired to Estes Park in 2013 after living in Nebraska for 40 years.

Jay Vetter purchased this studio in 2009

Why Jay Vetter chose Rocky Mountain National Park

The property includes a home in which we live and garage with a loft apartment above it in addition to the cottage. We bought it as our retirement home because of its location and great mountain views. We have vacationed here regularly since 1970 and have always wanted to spend more time here.

What makes this studio unique

We appreciate that we have extra space for family to visit and are also able to generate a little extra income while welcoming guests who love this area as much as we do.

Would stay again!

  • 5 of 5

This super clean little studio cabin was perfect for our family of four. The kids slept fine on the sofa sleeper. After days spent snowshoeing and sledding in Rocky Mountain National Park the cabin was quick to warm up; especially with the toasty fireplace. The view was nice off the back deck and I imagine it would be a great place to relax in the summertime. The owners quickly refunded our deposit the same day we checked out which was appreciated as well!

Cozy

  • 4 of 5

We were cozy and warm during our Christmas vacation. We liked the view of the creek bed with the birds in the Aspens, and the snow falling down.

Great location near RMNP

  • 5 of 5

The property was very clean, well maintained with up to date and pleasant furnishings. Jay was prompt and helpful in all communications. I loved being so close to the park. Can't wait to return and discover more hiking opportunities!

Cozy and very clean!

Great cabin. Very close to RMNP. Well equipped for those flying in who can't bring bedding, towels, cooking essentials. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Had everything!

  • 5 of 5

I spent five peaceful days on a personal spiritual retreat. The cabin was ideal for this: from the quiet, the deck, the view, the fireplace and the privacy, I couldn't have asked for more. The herd of elk one morning across the street and the beautiful birds in constant attendance added much to my soulful time. I will be back.

Immaculate cabin, wonderful view!

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed in Estes Park many times over the years and this was easily the cleanest, quietest, best equipped cabin in which we've stayed.
