About Jay Vetter

We retired to Estes Park in 2013 after living in Nebraska for 40 years.

Jay Vetter purchased this studio in 2009

Why Jay Vetter chose Estes Park

The property includes a home in which we live and garage with a loft apartment above it in addition to the cottage. We bought it as our retirement home because of its location and great mountain views. We have vacationed here regularly since 1970 and have always wanted to spend more time here.

What makes this studio unique

We appreciate that we have extra space for family to visit and are also able to generate a little extra income while welcoming guests who love this area as much as we do.

Perfect place, perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location near Estes Park and yet not in the craziness of Estes. Well located for RMNP eastern hikes including Longs Peak and the Bear Lake corridor. Cottage was exceptionally clean, everything we needed was there. Owner was wonderful, and very knowledgeable regarding the area, where to eat, what to do. Wouldn't change a thing. Super place!

Well laid out cabin in a very quiet area

  • 5 of 5

Wow! This little cabin is a gem nestled close to the Rocky Mountain National Park border. It has everything you would need. A well-stocked kitchen and even a small gas grill. Wild life routinely come for a visit. We saw a ferruginous hawk and several elk there. Jay was great to work with and everything in the cabin was as advertised. If you don't want to cook then just a two-minute walk away is The Rock inn . The food there was terrific especially the trout . We highly recommend the happy hour which is from 4 to 5 . Deals on the trout as well as draft beer local of course were two for one . Highly recommended!

The cottage was recommended by a friend. It was an excellent choice. Location was great for us. We were able to see the sites and then have a wonderful place to relax. Views were awesome with a special treat of great views of Longs peak.

Jay was so kind, friendly and helpful!

We would definitely recommend this cottage!!

Awesome stay!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was immaculate and the location was wonderful! It is so close to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. We were able to avoid the town traffic each morning. The cabin is not huge, but the layout and amenities were well thought out. Jay and Maureen have put together everything you would need to have a relaxing stay in Estes Park. During our week long visit to Colorado, we stayed at two other houses, but this one was by far the best. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Clean convenient and kind

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay, meeting the owners was a bonus as they are very humble and kind people and compassionate about our environment. The cabin was spotless and very spacious. We loved having the little balcony as we sat out there watching the chipmunks playing around and observing many bird species. The location was perfect for Rocky Mountain National Park. We would definitely stay there again.
