About Jay Vetter

We retired to Estes Park in 2013 after living in Nebraska for 40 years.

Jay Vetter purchased this studio in 2009

Why Jay Vetter chose Estes Park

The property includes a home in which we live and garage with a loft apartment above it in addition to the cottage. We bought it as our retirement home because of its location and great mountain views. We have vacationed here regularly since 1970 and have always wanted to spend more time here.

What makes this studio unique

We appreciate that we have extra space for family to visit and are also able to generate a little extra income while welcoming guests who love this area as much as we do.

was a great place to stay.

It was close to the park and very quiet. It was easy to get to. The owner was very gracious. The cabin had everything needed for our stay.

Beautiful as advertised

  • 5 of 5

The owners were friendly, the view was spectacular, and the place was spotless and comfortable. Our two grandsons enjoyed the stream out back, and Jay was kind enough to check out the fishing regulations for them. Icing on the cake was the convenience to Rocky Mountain National Park. We hope to return again!

So cozy! Great views and so close to the park!!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed here twice now and absolutely love this place!! Kitchen is great and jetted tub is so nice after long hikes! Jay and Maureen are so kind and welcoming! We loved the deck and grill too. Bed is very comfortable.

We love how close it is to the park and we even saw a few elk in the yard. We had such a great time during our 11 night stay this year!

We can’t wait to return!!

Relaxing and beautiful cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was in a perfect spot as I was looking for a relaxing, quiet stay in Estes Park. You are super close to RMNP and the view from the back porch is spectacular. The only sounds I could hear daily were hummingbirds and other types of birds, the gentle stream behind the cabin and one day, even coyotes howling! The cabin was well-stocked with everything needed and the bed was comfy. I got amazing rest there. Jay is a very nice man and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with him the few times I was able. If you need respite from the daily grind, hot weather and craziness of life, definitely look no further than this place in Estes Park. You will LOVE it.

The PERFECT stay

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this place was perfect for our needs. We stayed for 4 nights to go check out the RMNP, and having this warm cozy cottage could not have served our stay any better. Was amazing to have a fire place to warm up with and a jetted tub to soothe you after a day of hiking was awesome! The views were incredible and location was ideal for avoiding the hustle and bustle of downtown. There wasn’t a single item we needed that wasn’t already there for us for our stay.

A huge thank you to Jay for being so accommodating and providing such a wonderful cottage!

Will most certainly be staying here again in the future!
