CONDO, 2 BEDROOMS, 2 BATHS, LARGE POOL IN A SECURE GATED COMMUNITY

Bugambilias D 101 is a gorgeous 2 bedroom condo located in the exclusive Playacar Fase 2 district of Playa del Carmen. Playacar is a gated community with 24 hour security. This beautiful condo is an end unit located on the first floor in one of Playacars' newer complexes. The gated common area is steps from both the bedroom and living area via 2 furnished terraces. The large pool and palapa area is great for entertaining, swimming or just taking it easy. The garden area is lush with all things Tropical. The condo has been newly decorated with a designers touch, including new kitchen cabinets and completely painted in 2016. Due to allergies, we are a no smoking, no pet family so we ask that you abide by that. You can however smoke outside in the common area. The he condo complex was completely painted in 2016.

Comfortable condo, gorgeous pool area

We rented this condo from Phil and Kathy over the Christmas break. The condo was as described, and we really appreciated the extra blow up mattress so our teenager kids didn't have to share a bed. The pool area was the highlight for us. It is literally about 6 steps outside the patio, a peaceful, quiet and relaxing oasis. It was also nice to have a pass to the Reef club so we could visit the beach and use the pools and lounge chairs, although you really do have to go early to get in. One day, we went at 10:00 and were way too late to get in, as they were only allowing 18 passes that day. We found it varied from day to day.

The condo is about a 30 minute walk to the Reef Club and about a 20 minute walk from the edge of town, so we did a lot of walking (or you could take a cab) and this way we could eat more ice cream without guilt! Next time, we would rent bicycles to make it easier to get around, but because it was Christmas break, they were all booked up. Next time, we'll plan ahead. There also is a great mall along the highway, only about a 7-10 minute walk away, with a Soriana's grocery store where we did all our grocery shopping, and a great Cinemex movie theatre, where we could see first run movies for cheap!

In town, we found a bunch of really great places to eat. Right on 10th, as you enter Playa del Carmen from Playacar, there is a Mercado Paseo Del Carmen, with a food court down a set of stairs. They had an amazing Thai place called WokPlaya, and a great burger place called La Burgueseria. It is like upscale fast food. We also really enjoyed El Fogon for Mexican food, and La Brocherie which is a French restaurant with a casual, Mexican twist. The chicken is amazing!

The manager onsite, Armando was there to meet us when we got there, and was prompt in helping us with our concerns. We did run into a couple of small snags--the a/c in the master bedroom didn't work for the 1st two nights, but Armando got someone in to fix it asap, and we couldn't call out with the phone. Armando tried to solve that problem, but it never was resolved. We did appreciate his quick responses to our emails, and he was right on site which was helpful.

So obviously, it wasn't perfect, which is why we gave it a 4 star rating, but for the price, it was a great experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to rent here again!

Lovely condo!!

We stayed at Phil and Kathy's condo for two weeks this November. It was exactly as listed -- the pictures, layout, amenities. My two daughters swam in the pool every day (even in the rain!). It was so convenient to be on the ground floor and just walk out; every day, the grounds keeper was cleaning, raking, sweeping the common areas. We found the apartment in immaculate condition. The few questions we had were immediately answered by Armando; I have already sold the idea of a 'family reunion' to my family and we hope to return to PDC.

We had a rental car for 1/2 of our stay; it was easier to get to 5th avenue with the car, although when we walked, we didn't have to worry about parking :). I walked several times for groceries; it was maybe a 10-15 minute walk at the most. Very convenient!

Wonderful place!

Wonderful place, super comfortable, it has all the basic necessities. Very conveniently located to shops and restaurants. Playacar is a beautiful development ideal for walking and riding a bicycle. Would recommend renting a car to visit other beaches in the Riviera Maya as well as being able to get around the town and its beaches. The access to The Reef Club is a great bonus. Victor does a great job keeping the grounds spotless and Armando, the property manager is very professional and responsive. Wonderful experience staying here!

Perfect getaway

We spent 2 weeks in Phil and Kathy's condo. It is beautiful and looks exactly like the pictures! It's quiet, charming, and very relaxing. It is also very clean! Contact with Phil and Kathy and property manager Armando was very easy. They were very reliable. Armando was there waiting on our arrival. The beautiful pool was very quiet and clean. We had it to ourselves most of the time! The neighbors were very friendly and willing to help if we needed anything. The gated complex made us feel secure. It's just steps from living room and bedroom to the pool! If you can not walk very far, then you will need to rely on taxi's. It is a bit of a walk to beaches and town. A few taxi's were $5, but most were charging $7 to $9 each way. That is the only draw back, everything about this condo is wonderful!!! I would love to stay here again!

Another fantastic Week at Bugambilias!

It is close enough to downtown that you can walk. Having VIP access to The Reef Club is also a huge plus! Private beach, beautiful pools and an upgrade to include the all-inclusive food and beverage can be purchased.

Being in their condo with all it's great amenities and full kitchen, allows the freedom to cook and relax in a way you can't do in a big resort. It is wonderful to come back from a busy day in downtown Playa del Carmen or visiting the many attractions the area has to offer and have peace and quiet. The complex is small enough that you feel like you have the pool and palapa to yourself.

We will definitely be returning again and can't think of anywhere else we'd want to stay.

It's a spacious well built complex with a great location. Far enough away from all the noise and activity of 5th Ave, but close enough to enjoy everything. Great neighbors and friends.

Playa del Carmen (Playacar) is a great centrally located place to see all wonders of the Riviera Maya. Bugambilias is just a 15 minute walk to fabulous beaches, the Playacar Golf Course, excellent restaurants and the trendy 5th Ave., the hub of excitment in Playa del Carmen. If walking is not for you, hail a taxi around the corner from our condo. The rate is $5 US to go to anywhere in downtown Playa and it is the same to get the Reef Club. Book a tour or rent a car and visit the awe inspiring ruins of the Yucatan, including Tulum, Coba and Chichen Itza . Check out the beauitful lazy river and beaches of Xelha, or visit Xcaret to get a feel for the jungles of the Mayan's. Snorkel in the Hidden Worlds cenote or ride dolphins in Puerto Adventuras. Take the ferry to Cozamel Island. All these exciting places and many more await you and are very easy to get to.

  • Bugambilias D 101 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit which sleeps 4. There is a queen size bed in each bedroom. The fully equiped kitchen has granite countertops and high end appliances. The dining area seats 4 at the beautiful glass topped table and 2 at the island area. You will have all the conveniences of home. Toaster, coffee maker, blender plus all dishes, pots and pans, etc. There is plenty of seating in the living area also. All linens, sheets, towels etc. are provided. There is a washer/dryer, 4 A/C units, 4 ceiling fans and an intercom system. The common area includes the use of the swimming pool, 2 restrooms, lounge chairs and tables and seating under the large palapa. The condo also includes the use of our VIP card which gives our renters access to The Playacar Reef Club Beach Resort. It will cost you nothing to spend the day on this exclusive resort's beach. If you wish, you can purchase the all inclusive day package, for $40 US per person, using our VIP card. For an additional cost, The Reef Club also offers many excellent tours to the sites made famous by the Mayan Dynasties , if fun is what you want you can rent wave runners, book fishing and sailing trips as well as snorkeling, diving, parasailing, kayaking just too much to mention! Should golf be your game the VIP card gives you access to the beautiful Playacar Golf Club, the 18 hole, par 72 course designed by Robert Von Hagge. For a cost of $50 you can enjoy the day, this includes all you can eat and drink and a golf cart. Enjoy the day on the course with your friends as the staff attends to your every need, supplying you with food and drink. You are sure to be blown away by all our condo has to offer. It really is a 'slice of paradise'.
