About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, 6 Sleeps

'Beachcomber's Paradise' is what you've been expecting for your beach vacation. Located on spectacular Beachcomber Drive in the quaint town of Morro Bay, this 2400 sq. ft. single level luxury home has 180 degree unobstructed panoramic whitewater views of the Pacific Ocean. All of the rooms in this home are spacious, including the kitchen. From the Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, Sitting Room & Large Front Patio you can view Morro Rock to the South and the Cayucos Pier to the North. The two Guest Bedrooms and the Den have incredible whitewater views as well. Nicknamed 'Two Palms' by the local surfers for the two 60 foot tall Palm trees in the front of the house, they serve as a landmark for surfers and wayward house guests.

At Beachcomber's Paradise you just can't help staring at the ocean. Time will pass quickly as you are mesmerized by the sweeping views of the sea. The miles of sandy beach will compel you to walk down to the water's edge to explore the sights and sounds.

You can easily walk to Morro Rock or Cayucos, it's just down to the beach, then left or right. The wall of panoramic windows will allow you to watch the kids play on the beach without leaving the house. The beach is right in front of our home approximately 100 yards away(a football field) Beachcomber Drive is a popular walking, biking, viewing street, people come from all around to savor it's stunning views.

The Kitchen is a 'Gourmet's Delight', granite counter tops with a 'Wolf' gas range, stainless steel appliances and European Cabinets. There's a second vegetable sink, dual stainless dishwashers and the most amazing views of the waves crashing on the beach while you prepare your meals or just sip your coffee. The kitchen is complete with everything you'll need for the perfect vacation. A Cuisinart ice cream maker(great fun for the whole family, so bring your favorite recipes) and wine refrigerator are just a few of the amenities for you to enjoy.

The front wrap-around Patio has extensive brick and flagstone with a built-in Gas Fire Pit for those enchanting evenings and incredible sunsets! The built-in Fire Pit is always a big hit perfect for making 'Smores with the kids' (of all ages). Binoculars and a spotting scope are there to more clearly view the otters, dolphins, seals, whales, pelicans, surfers and more. There's also an outside shower with hot & cold water to wash off the sand from the beach. The den accesses a small fenced backyard with grass and flowers.

This home was professionally decorated with beautiful beach furnishings, a cozy down filled sofa to snuggle in as you enjoy a warm fire in the new Italian Travertine fireplace. Luxury linens, bath and beach towels, an ipod docking station, high speed wireless Internet, games, books, kids beach toys, including croquet and boogie boards all await you. Decorated in the Caribbean Beach theme.

This home is what you would expect from a beach home. So, whether you're beachcombing, bike riding, surfing, golfing, wine tasting, shopping, fishing or just relaxing, this 'is' the place!!! The place where every evening a new and beautiful sunset will surprise you, and the sound of the ocean waves will lull you to sleep.

We would like to take this opportunity to 'thank' everyone for viewing our site and booking with us. It's a joy for us to be able to share this great house and location with others. We are booking for 2012 now, so check our calendar as we do keep up with it and send us an email. Thank you again.

Beautiful beach

  • 4 of 5

Very nice house with plenty of room for our family of four. It could easily handle more people. We enjoyed the fire pit each night and even one morning! The beach is wonderful for walking and there were some adventurous surfers to watch at times too. It was an easy walk to get to the beach. From the pictures I could tell there was a road in front of the house, but the road was not busy. The negative about it was that people would part on the road and when we looked out our window we'd see their vehicle instead of the surf. What was a surprise was that between the road and the beach there is a state campground with tents and campers. It was unfortunate to have to look at it but it was not noisy even though there were quite a few people staying there. We really enjoyed Morro Bay and the areas around it; quite beautiful. We even went to wine country and did a couple of tastings. Thanks for sharing your home.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

We spent our first time to Morro Bay in this lovely home! There was plenty of room for our family of 6, including 2 kids, to spread out and get comfortable. The house is in a great location...less than 10 minutes from everything in Morro Bay (restaurants, fishing boats, tour boats, shopping), just a 5 minute walk to the beach (down some stairs and across the dunes to the beach...there's a path), and near the freeway to get anywhere. My only complaint would be the cars that parked across the street obstructed the view a bit of the ocean, but not too bad though. The house was fully stocked with everything we might need...including shampoo which we forgot, lol. We had all the comforts of home and would definitely stay here again. Felt nice after a long day to feel like we were coming home to relax with amazing views of the pacific!!

Owner's Response: Nichole, Thank you for the great review. We were happy to hear that you found the house fully stocked with everything you could need. Also, that you liked the central location to everything and the easy access to the beach in front of the house. We sincerely hope that you and your family do make another trip to the house again soon. Thanks, Fred

Exceptional home and stunning views!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I went up to Morro Bay for a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Not only did we find the house beautiful, but it was also extremely comfortable. There was plenty of room for all 5 of us and the house had everything we needed. Fred was very responsive and extremely nice. The views and proximity to the beach are amazing. We had a wonderful trip and a memorable anniversary!

Great way to spend a holiday weekend

  • 5 of 5

We were 3 couples who drove up from LA and were looking for a pretty beach house where we could relax. Beachcomber's Paradise fit the bill to a tee! We spent many a morning drinking coffee staring at the ocean or taking a walk on the beach in front of the house and many an evening enjoying an adult beverage in front of the fire pit.

The house is well appointed and we were never lacking for anything. We loved all the beach 'kitsch' that decorated the house and gave it that fun, vacation feel. The owners left us great instructions on the place and area insights that we took advantage of (Hearst Castle, Taco Temple, downtown restaurants, etc).

Thanks Fred and Candi for your hospitality!

Beachcomber's Paradise Indeed!

  • 5 of 5

I'm not exaggerating when I say that some of our group had tears in their eyes on our last day when it was time to leave this fun, beautiful home. Not only is it perfectly decorated to be the ideal "beach house", we also found it to be well-stocked, comfortable and organized. The view is exactly as advertised and although the parking lot was full of campers during our stay - we did not experience any noise or issues. The beds were super comfy and we all slept really well! The beach itself was fantastic - we spent hours looking for sand dollars (they are plentiful so be sure to go on a hunt!), exploring the tide pools, and I was able to indulge my passion for bird photography. Saw long-billed curlews, willets, terns, whimbrels, semi-palmated plovers, western & least sandpipers, black oystercatchers, and more. No snowy plovers (wrong time frame most likely), but I can see the habitat is perfect for them and would expect to see them at other times of the year. Nearby Morro Bay offered great activities such as kayaking, tours of the bay, the Natural History Museum, sea lions and...our favorite...sea otters! We went multiple times to see the otters who were right up against the rocks which made for great photo ops! Found the peregrine falcon nesting site on Morro Rock itself, but the falcons didn't cooperate so I have something to look forward to next time. This location is perfect as a home base for day trips, too. We headed to Montana de Oro state park one day and visited Cambria and the San Simeon elephant seals on another day. After all that gadding about, my 13-year-old son's favorite part of the trip was making s'mores on the front patio using the gas fire pit while we watched the sun go down over the beach. I would book this location again in a heartbeat!
