Soothing River Sounds

  • 5 of 5

Property was in a lovely location next to a clean, strong flowing creek and we left the windows open all 5 days. It was slightly rustic, which was apropos for the location. It had everything that we needed for a relaxing vacation away from cities, people and noise. Great fire pit with plenty of wood outside. We could not figure out the gas fireplace that was inside. Hot Springs NC is an interesting little mountain town on the French Broad River. It has charm and is 25 minutes away. Asheville is about an hour away.

Not a bad cabin just not very clean

  • 2 of 5

Cabin is not bad but it really needs a good cleaning top to bottom. Floors stove refrigerator everything needs cleaning. Bathrooms need cleaned and updated. Nice location!

Quiet with a creek running through

  • 5 of 5

Stayed for 6-nights and enjoyed every one of them!! There was 4 adults and plenty of room to not feel crowded at all. Town of Hot Springs is neat little place, as well.

An idyllic location

  • 5 of 5

Cabin is very attractive, clean, well-stocked. The ripple of the creek running beside it makes for a relaxing and peaceful setting. Owner was very friendly and prompt to respond to a couple of minor problems. I would strongly recommend this cabin.

Where do you live?

Nice place to get away

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is exactly as described and the hosts are very friendly. Make sure you spend some time down by the creek where they have put easy chairs and a hammock (we enjoyed cigars and bourbon on a lazy afternoon). They have put together the best notebook of things to do I have ever found in a vacation rental. (Fisherpersons, remember that the creek is stocked in April and pretty much fished out by May.)
