Fully modernized 8BR, 4.5 Bath Spring Lake Victorian. 2 living rooms, dining room. Large wrap around porch. Fully renovated. All new bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, 2 zone central AC. Very private property. 7 beach badges (5 adult, 2 children) included with all rentals. South Pavilion Locker included with all monthly rentals (monthly rentals only). Dogs under 20 lbs that are hypo allergenic (poodles, kerry blues, schnauzers, wheaten terriers and a few other breeds as approved by the owner) are OK with additional deposit and additional cleaning fee. Additional deposit of $500. Extra Fee of $250 per week per approved pet.

House has Cable, Wireless HSIA and TV's; 50' in main living room.

Will consider both monthly and weekly rentals.

No smoking permitted in the house.

No smoking on property of the house. This includes on the porches of the house.

House has new Weber Grill with 3 burners, sear station and exterior 4th burner.

Please note that this is a totally non smoking house. Smoking is not permitted in the house, on the porch or within 10 feet of the structure. I am asthmatic and am very careful on this point. To our guests, thank you for your consideration and respect on this point.

* It may be possible to rent this house for slightly less $$ in a 7BR, 3.5 bath configuration with maximum of 12 people from October to Mid May. I place outdoor furniture in 1 of the bedrooms for the winter.

* Special options for long term winter rental. Please email if interested.

* Rentals prior to Memorial Day 2016 are in 7 bedroom, 3.5 bath configuration unless otherwise specified.

* House does not have a pool. I provide 5 passes allowing access to the shared use pool in Spring Lake's South Pavilion.

great place for a family get together

We enjoyed our stay at the home. It had enough bedrooms and gathering rooms to have small and large group conversations or activities. The rooms were roomy enough and there were sufficient bathrooms to accommodate our family reunion. We travelled from across the US and Australia to gather for our reunion. The locker at the pool was very convenient as we did not have to carry beach chairs, umbrellas to the beach. The home is very comfortable for a large family to gather. we've chosen various places for our immediate family reunion and this has been one of the best for us. Will definitely consider it for future gatherings.

Jeff was a great host, provided us with a bottle of wine and took time to chat with us. His written item regarding the house, restaurants and other places were very informational and useful. We enjoyed all aspects of the house and its offering.

We highly recommend the home to anyone thinking of gathering with family or friends.

Great house and landlord, train horn a total bummer

Jeff is a very responsive, helpful and friendly landlord, but I feel it is important for prospective renters to know that he lives directly behind the house in the carriage house, and also that the house is situated about thirty feet from NJ Transit train tracks, at an intersection. The trains blow their horns in both directions as they approach and pass the intersection -- every hour on the hour, and sometimes every twenty minutes, late into the night. It's loud, like someone standing on your porch blowing an air horn. Had we known this, we would have chosen another property. If you are deep sleepers and can take the noise, the house is beautiful and charming and comes at a great price for the area. The access to Jeff's beach club is totally fabulous -- seriously, a dream! And Jeff does a great job as a landlord. Heads up that there is a fair amount of work expected of tenants in the way out, with a mandatory early checkout (10 am). Including taking the recycling to the dump if it is not pickup day, even though we paid for the extra cleaning. We were very disappointed to find out about the train after the fact; hence the two star rating.

Owner's Response: To anyone and everyone who rents, I say thanks. As most business people know there are some customers you wish were your clients of your competitors. These are them. As everyone can see from the 5 years of great reviews, nobody has ever had an issue with this. The house is where it is when it was rented. Trains do pass by, for a total of about 17 minutes a day. Most of those times, people are at the beach. The house did not move from when it was rented. Again. look at all of the reviews over 5 yers and you can see nobody else has had issue with any of this. These renters asked for money back because the house was where it was when it was rented and when I did not give them $$$$, they wrote a bad review. Very simple. I am pleased they noted how attentive I am to everyone's needs. They complained an umbrella was not good for the beach and I bough them a new one, next day. They complained 1 faucet was not perfect and I sent a plumber to install a $400+ new one same day. As far as check in/out. It is advertised on the website as Check In at 4pm and out at 10am. This because it take the team 6 full hours to clean the house (14 rooms, 8 bedrooms, 4.5 baths). The cleaning service is detailed as cleaning all the rooms in the house and doing 14 sets of towels and 9 sets of sheets. Anything additional (dishes and extra towels.sheets) needs to be done by guests. The town picks up recycling every other week. I provide recycling containers and the pass for town Recycling Center. People not leaving on pick up day need to take recycling the few blocks to the Center; perhaps 5-10 minutes. Despite this, I got these people in several hours early, paying out of pocket to get more Cleaners at once and to have a laundromat do all sheets and towels in 2 hours; paying out of my pocket. Still, not happy. Unlike the majority of houses, I provide all sheets, linens and even beach club locker, etc. It is a beautifully redone house; not a normal "rental". I believe it provides the most amazing combination of size, comfort and Value by having by being priced similarly to most house in Spring Lake with 4 or 5 bedrooms, fewer baths and amenities. With all I provide, you just show up and enjoy. My house as the renters noted is HUGE and BEAUTIFUL and I am super responsive as I want other to love Spring Lake like I do. That is why every other review but 1 is five stars. Thanks for considering my home. Jeff

Perfect

Beautiful Victorian home within blocks to beach. We rented it for a family gathering and it was perfect. Well equipped modern kitchen, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Spring Lake is a great beach town. We had a blast.

Jeff is an amazing host. We couldn't have asked for more!

CLEANING
Cleaning is mandatory; $385. Cleaning includes the following:
Wash and vacuum all floors
Clean all bathrooms
Clean kitchen
Wipe and dust all surfaces.
Wash, fold, towels (up to 14 sets but not more), restock bathrooms with towels Wash all bed sheets (up to 8 sets) and pillow cases and make beds; does not include wash or dry cleaning of bed blankets or comforters.

Cleaning does not include doing dishes, cleaning the grill, or washing and drying of beach towels or any exterior portion of the property, including the decks. These are your responsibility.

Please be sure all dishes are cleaned and put away and the outside grill is fully cleaned before departing

CREDIT CARD PREMIUM
Any credit card payments must be approved in advance an d will be assessed a 3% premium , as will online payments via this website or partners of this site.

PETS
Approved pets require an additional $500 refundable security deposit and $250 non-refundable pet fee if under 20 lbs.
Approved pets over 20 lbs require an additional $1000 refundable security deposit and $350 non-refundable pet fee.
