Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, 4 Sleeps

Welcome to our cabin at Maggie's Farm, it's a place you will want to return over and over again. It's a place you can completely relax and rejuvinate. The cabin is very clean, fresh and updated. It has a large fully equipped eat in kitchen, both bedrooms have quality, comfortable queen sized beds with memory foam for a restful nights sleep. The back covered deck is a great place to hang out, relax, read a book, or try your fishing skills for native brown trout. The patio overlooks crystal clear Tucker Creek, (10 feet wide and 1-4 feet deep) and features a gas BBQ grill, with patio table & chairs. The cabin borders thousands of acres of the PISGAH NATIONAL FOREST with Trailheads and Forestry roads all around. The wildlife abounds. You may see turkey, deer, bear, Canadian geese, ducks, blue heron, Bald Eagles and more.

On Maggie's Farm we raise a small flock of sheep and have a pond stocked with Rainbow Trout. There are a large variety of fruit trees including Apple, Pear, and Peach. We also grow blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, walnut, asparagus, potatoes and many other vegetables and herbs. Across the street from Maggie's is a beautiful field of cows with the mountains as a background and a donkey named Smokey who loves to to be fed carrots.

There are many beautiful nearby waterfalls. Maggie's is Located in Balsam Grove, Transylvania County, which is also known as the 'LAND OF WATERFALLS.' There are over 200 waterfalls to enjoy HIKING, BIKING, and picnicing. Maggie's is at an elevation of 3000 feet and only 10 miles to the scenic BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY, a beautiful drive to take to the Biltmore or Cherokee where Harrah"s casino is located. Parkway Road (Hwy 215) is likened to the tail of the dragon for mountain bikers and motorcyclists. Go FLY Fishing or tubing on nearby Davidson or French Broad Rivers. Maggie's is an easy drive with all good paved roads, I-95 to I-26 out of Asheville and you're almost there. Let the calming sound of the creek put you to sleep at night. Beautiful mountain views all around.

Great cabin!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin at Maggie's Farm is cute and very comfortable, with a beautiful location. We enjoyed meeting the extremely nice owners (and their dogs!), relaxing by the creek, and making a campfire under the stars. The cabin is close to several beautiful waterfalls and hikes off of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and is a short drive to the town of Brevard. We had a great time and hope to come back again!

Family Place

  • 5 of 5

My little family stayed here and we loved the little cabin. The best part was my puppy had there two dogs to play with and a creek to get wet in so he was actually upset when we left. It was clean and we did not run in to any problems during our stay. Mark and Jaquie are some of the nicest people my husband and I have ever met. They were easy to talk to and we really loved the little spot.

Beautiful place!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Maggie's farm! My wife and I and even Mardi our dog relaxed so much in this peaceful place. The owners Mark and Jaquie are 2 of the nicest people you will ever meet and we feel we've made some new friends! Looking forward to coming again during different seasons to see the changes in the mountains. The trout from their pond were delicious and so we're the huge zucchini from there garden that they shared with us. Ready to come back already!!

Very relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

Maggie's Farm was a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of "real life." It was a pleasure chatting with the owners and enjoying life on the farm. The Farm is far enough to give you the peace and quiet, but close to several BEAUTIFUL waterfalls, trout fishing, and mountain views. Looking forward to coming back!

The house was and property were just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Maggie's Farm was perfect. Our house say on a little creek and we could hear the babbling of the water at night with our windows open. The home was perfectly maintained with more than everything we needed and our hosts stopped by to see if we needed anything. We were greeted almost daily by Violet our host sweet hound dog. Mark and Jacquie were so awesome, we went over and had a bonfire and roasted smores at there house one evening. On my third day I caught a trout in the creek behind the house and Mark provided fresh veggie's from his garden. We were truly eating off the land! We plan on going back next year for two weeks for sure.

Thanks so much for an amazing vacation. I feel like we made new friends.

Nature and its beauty everywhere

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this cabin. The cabin was clean, comfortable and large enough for the four of us. It is in a peaceful and beautiful setting, close to some of the most beautiful waterfalls and scenery you will ever find. Mark and Jacquie were fantastic hosts. We enjoyed them, their dogs and the farm. We would stay here again.
