Overview

About the property

Townhome, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, 8 Sleeps

This is the perfect beach house for a family. It is on the bayside with water on two sides with a dock to tie up your boat or to let the children do some crabbing or fishing! The beautiful back deck is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and watching the boaters go out to fish or to entertain family and friends as the sun goes down. The kitchen also has a bar that seats 3 and the dining room has a table that seats up to ten by adding one table leaf. The community pool is about a 1 minute walk from the front door. There is plenty of parking and we have a gas grill for your use. A washer and dryer are off the dining room and a family room with TV and dvd player. No pets are allowed but there are pet care facilities close by. We are within 10 minutes of walking to the beach and the boardwalk tram. The waterpark is directly behind the beach house as well as the children's park with rides, many eating facilities and the popular Salty Dog Pub.

We do not rent to graduating high school students.

About sharon yoder

I am Dr. Sharon Yoder and am a full time national speaker and a professor at Wilmington University in Dover, Delaware. A world traveler , was single Mom with 5 children and grew up in Ohio, however, the ocean stole our hearts!

sharon yoder purchased this townhome in 2000

Why sharon yoder chose Maryland

We love this corner lot. with water on 2 sides. It is lovely to have a beautiful, well-cared for swimming pool about 50 steps away from our front door and a dock for boats and crabbing for the children. The view from the upper deck reminds me of Venice when I drink my morning coffee!

What makes this townhome unique

This property is so close to everything and yet so peacerful and quiet. Unbelieveable , but true. We are a 10 minute nice walk to the ocean, a 5 minute walk to the water park and children's rides and a wonderful, safe area for bike riding, a great pub within walking distance and a quick walk to catch a bus to the boardwalk or if you do not want to drive.

Cozy home on the waterfront - off the beaten path

  • 4 of 5

This place was very pleasant... it was so peaceful to wake up and sit on the deck with that first cup of coffee in the wee morning hours. You will love the space in the dining area; no problem fitting our family of eight around the table -- and there was extra seating at the breakfast bar, also good for buffet style or fixing a quick snack. The place is decorated with the beach-goer in mind with whimsical beach vacation quotes, knick knacks and shells, etc. -- really gives it a beachy feel but, it would be better for the little ones if there weren't sooo many breakables they should not play with. Who wants to spend their vacation telling the kids "no" all the time? The living space was a typical living room, dining room and deck. We enjoyed the extra picnic table on the front side when we got back from the pool for lunch or snacks -- and wet towels can be hung "on the line" to dry instead of railings, nice touch. We used the grill once and it worked great -- there's nothing like a burger at the beach! Again, the picnic table was nice to have. The bedrooms were big enough and there were enough bathrooms as well -- however, a little overboard on the "frog" décor -- would rather have the counter space. We all agreed that the mattresses need updating but still managed to get our rest when needed. The place comes with one covered parking space; we stayed in August and still found plenty of parking in the lot for our extra vehicles. This place is a hike to the beach -- we couldn't do it with the little ones but always found a parking space close to the 28th Street dune crossing. The beach is nice at 28th and there is a hotel with outside showers AND a beachfront café -- great for snacks and adult beverages! All in all, we would rent this home again.

Great place - great location - nicest condo in the development

  • 5 of 5

Spent the week with my family - the location was great (on the bay.",close to Jlolly Rodgers and by beginning of boardwalk so free parking on streets by beach). Tables on deck and front of the condo let you sit outside with water views at both places. Pool was clean and in middle of development so walkable for everyone. We had fun enjoying the way house was decorated. Would definitely go back again!

Property was beautiful with lots of room.

  • 3 of 5

I loved the townhouse. It was really nice on a corner lot which gave us a lot of room. I enjoyed our stay but it was too long of a walk to the beach with small children. My son really enjoyed crabbing off the dock. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone with a boat but we are a beach family and the "one block walk to the beach" was very misleading because it took us 20 minutes to get there crossing main highway and then another 15 minute ride on a trolly to get to the boardwalk. And I would definitely speak to your cleaning crew as we found condom wrappers and used tampons in one of the rooms and bathroom. Other than that the place was very nice with nice neighbors and a nice clean pool. We wanted to try something different staying on Bayside this year but will stick with oceanside on our future vacations.
