The 'Farmhouse-by-the-Sea has been a working family farm since the 1840's. Continuing in this farming tradition you will find chickens, ducks, cows, etc.,, on site.
The farmhouse has always had a direct affiliation with the historic Theater by the Sea. Walking distance from the farmhouse to the Theater, explains why 'Broadway' stars such as Marlon Brando, Carol Channing, Groucho Marks, Shelly Winters, etc.,, lived here while performing in this 300-seat Barn Theater. Today, Broadway shows are performed throughout the summer.
