About Paradise Found Island Retreat 4 bedroom 3.5 bath home - 14 kayaks/3 canoes
Semi-retired artist of metal, wood and leather. I purchased the island to retire to. With economy being what it turned out to be, I decided to share my little piece of Paradise with others and here we are! But it's ok, I love sharing the island with those that would never get to experience island living. We are more money than a in town home but if you compare apples to apples(private islands to Private islands) we give you 3 tiems more at about 40% of the price! Be sure and look at all you get with your rentals. As a roof over your head is usually less than 1/2 of cost of a vacation. Here you have lots of extras

Why Paradise Found Island Retreat 4 bedroom 3.5 bath home - 14 kayaks/3 canoes chose Crystal River
It's hard to find an island that has little boat traffic. It is romantic to rent an off shore island. But a hassle to go get to. Here you have a 250' land bridge with electronic gate to keep out unwanted visitors and the island private.
What makes this House unique
45 solar heated salt water pool 2, 32' waterfalls all LED lit 45' tiki with sound system and wet bar siting for 60 guest fire ring with furnished wood each day 14 kayaks and 3 canoes, That alone would cost you 800 a day up town over 140 yard lights so you can walk most of the island at night with out a flashlight 2 bedroom 1.5 bath home with 2 real queen beds 2 sofa queens and 1 queen air mattress.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Best Much Needed Vacation
This was the get-a-way my husband and I needed. We own a motel and wanted to getaway to somewhere remote on the water and private. Paradise Found Island is gorgeous and abound by nature. All natural environment, not a concrete jungle with paved driveways. The views of the marsh are incredible with birds singing, lizards about and the sound of the waterfall at the pool. We rented the upstairs and loved it. We spent most all of our time on the large screened in porch playing yatzee and sipping on wine coolers and rediscovering our marriage of 20 years. Our first vacation in 16 years and it was everything we wanted it to be. The owner, Ken was so nice and so down to earth. His lady friend Elizabeth was also very pleasant. This was by far the best vacation we could have had. The hot tub was our favorite amenity and we loved that it was on the covered porch we spent most of our time. There are kayaks and canoes and a awesome pool also part of the fun. If you like nature and simple homey comfort this is the place to be. The house was very clean with everything we needed. The sheets were very soft. It was great that we were allowed to bring a pet as we brought our kitty with us. We will definitely be reserving our next getaway to Paradise Found Island. This vacation helped us to rekindle our love for each other. We would definitely recommend Paradise Island Found to nature lovers and folks that need something unique.
This is truly a paradise. The homes are beautiful and clean. It is such a peaceful environment. You can grab a cup of coffee and sit out on the deck and watch the sunrise in the morning and dolphins play in the evening. I was able relax at the pool as well as enjoy the spa. Due to a hectic schedule, it was perfect to be able to rest and relax for a week on the island with my family
Previewed the Retreat for an upcoming reunion in February
I just stayed overnight in Crystal River this week. I am planning to host a 60th birthday party/ family reunion for my husband next February and I wanted to come up to Crystal River and see the Paradise Found Island Retreat and the Plantation Resort that is 10 minutes away. I intend to put up my guests of 20 between the two establishments. First, the Plantation is nice but after doing my math it adds up to quite a bit more expense then the Paradise Found Retreat when compared. And the age and condition at the Plantation was not markedly better than the accommodations at the Paradise Found Island Retreat. The walls at Plantation Resort are paper thin and I was woken up a few times over the night. The island will be blissfully quiet. The food and drinks at Plantation are expensive and I am really glad that we will be having the use of Paradise Found Island Retreat and it's amenities to host my extra guests on a day pass basis for a mere $10 per person. This way I can feed the group three times a day and save the cost of restaurants which will save us a ton, not to mention the bar bill we wont have to have by bringing our own beverages and serving them from the adorable Tiki hut and bar on the island. There are kayaks and canoes to accommodate 20 passengers all included in the price as well as a pool and two jacuzzi's. I set up a meeting with the owner Ken at 9am Thursday to preview the property and go over my plans. When I arrived the downstairs unit was getting a makeover in the kitchen and main bath and the rest of the unit was in great shape. It was very clean and I saw no bugs, but hey it is Florida, pretty hard to not have any. Upstairs is already spruced up and has amazing views from every window and bedroom. The two massive porches are screened in and that will make for nice indoor outdoor living while we are there. Ken put me in touch with two restaurants right up the road who will do some catering and bring a few dinners over for us and Dominoes even delivers pizza out in this remote location. My cell phone, metro pcs, gets great reception. At the Plantation I could only make emergency calls. And the wifi works great too on the island and also at Plantation. I am a decorator by trade and I think the direction the owner is going in is "cute and island like" and sure it is dated, but so is the Plantation. For the price of admission you can't be expecting the Ritz, but you will get a clean, private island retreat with lots of amenities and a landlord
Thanks for the review and your great ideas on interior designs. I am great with decks or pools but little fro fro touches are not my thing. I am sure you have seen the new shots on the site of the great changes we are done with now on the island. We are always doing something to make it a awesome place for people to stay. I love the fact that you came and looked before you stayed. I encourage all that can to do so.
Great place to get away from it all.
The description was very accurate the houses and property were very clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this property to everyone. i loved the pool kayaking and just hangin out at the huge tiki bar the view out there was beautiful and really peaceful.
Thank you for your kind words. So glade you could come and enjoy this private island retreat. Feel free to come and stay again. Was great getting to meet your family
We love to kayak and this place was paradie
We loved this rental. We like to not be so public. We sat and played music and sang at the bonfire until the sun came up. The homes are not fancy but very clean, very old island decor and nice to stay in. Every thing is well maintained. It made me feel like we had taken a trip in time to a simpler and more basic time. The kids loved the pool/spa and waterfalls. We were pleasantly surprised at all the art around the island. You could tell the owner use to art shows. As every were you look is little pieces of art. We highly recommend this rental and will be back later in year after the heat breaks. This is very different than renting most homes, as here you are renting a private island complex with lots of extras. We saved about 400.00 over what we would have spent if we rented up town and paid for the extras we got at the island that were included
Thank you for your review. It was awesome meeting your family. Look forward to you all returning to spend time in paradise.
Vacation in Paradise
This property was the perfect getaway for our family of eight. We rented the downstairs unit for one evening and then rented the entire house for the remainder of our stay...would definitely recommend renting the entire place if possible. This made for a very peaceful, relaxing and beautiful vacation. The owners are very service oriented, extremley knowledgeable about the area and are completely in tune with anything you might need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The kids loved the pool but probably enjoyed the outdoors and the kayaks even more - the gorgeous scenery, the wildlife make for quite an experience. And, if you're into fishing, you don't have to go any further than the edge of the property. During incoming tides we caught a slew of fish including reds, trout, gar, catfish, lady fish, stingray, etc. They've got a great little baitshop less than a mile away that has shrimp and pinfish, very cool. There's also a fantastic fish restaurant, Pecks, less than five miles away that has some of the best seafood. Leave your IPhone and Laptop at home. Come to this property just to get away from it all and relax. We will definitely return.
Thank you for your review. We are glade you enjoyed your stay in our area. Look forward to seeing you again some time soon
