Apartment, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, 6 Sleeps
Grew up in the Jacksonville, FL area, married my high school sweetheart, raised three sons, owned decorating business for 25 years and restaurant owners for 33 years. Six grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Purchased Unit B in 1984 for our vacation place, purchased other two units 1994, renovated the whole building and moved into the Unit C in 1995 and permanently lived there until 2010 and although still our main residence we moved inland to a one level home.
Sally purchased this Apartment in 1994
Why Sally chose Saint Augustine
My husband and I had visited a friends home in Atlantic Beach and realized how much we would enjoy living at the beach so we started looking and found our little piece of heaven. We needed a place close to our business and home in the Jacksonville area that would not take us long to get to and be able to enjoy as our vacation spot and weekends away.
What makes this Apartment unique
The views of the ocean: My husband enjoyed the roughness of the sea during a storm and I enjoyed the beautiful tropical color and calm of the ocean......the best of two worlds. So peaceful and relaxing

This property was super charming and the perfect size for our group of four. We loved the closeness in proximity to St. Augustine’s Historic District and more importantly, the beach views. How cool, too, that dogs are everywhere!!
Lovely no-frills seaside cottage
This no-frills pet-friendly property is right on the beach, the location is ideal. Interaction with the property managers was a pleasure, very responsive and prompt. Not as clean as I would have liked, but we did check in on Xmas day so maybe the cleaning staff were limited. Overall delightful, we will stay there again.
Enjoyed our stay. Units very clean and the location was amazing. Pat was very friendly and checked in on us to see if we needed anything.
The only negative would be we thought when renting A and B units it was the entire house we did not know about unit C above us because it is not advertised. Folks upstairs with kids were very nosey but after talking to them the noise quieted down.
We try to provide an environment that will give you a positive experience and so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We're sorry you had an issue with noise and would have been happy to intervene had we known. We hope to see you again at Surfside Retreat.
Perfect little beach place!
Cute, convenient and clean! Loved this place and the owner/managers were wonderful to work with! Will definitely stay here again!
There's a lot to enjoy about this cozy apartment: well equipped, great location, close to the beach, thoughtful decor, pretty sunrises. Also, there's nice walking in the neighborhood across Coastal Hwy. It's clear that Sally and Pat are eager to please and I am very appreciative of this. Issues that arose were addressed. So I certainly recommend it!. And - this is something for which there is no remedy and the only reason I didn't assign a perfect 5; I didn't feel like I could swim whenever I wanted because of the abundance of surf fishermen (and women) on the beach at certain times of day. This might be trying for free spirits and/or vegans like me. But it's great for fishermen. Hope this is helpful. Overall, a good experience.
Great location, very well kept property and nice personal touches. Kitchen was well supplied which made it easy to make meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the ocean........priceless! Thanks for having us.
You would not lack of things to do or see! Fishing at Vilano pier, surf and charter boat fishing. Jet skies, para-sailing, kayaking, hiking, biking, scooters, horse-
