Travel to the beach several times a year. First time here. Loved the view and really close to town too. low rise complex, which is what we like. clean and nice. Would stay again.

Excellent Property, Substandard Property Manager

While the condo itself was wonderful (very clean, nice amenities, quiet, wonderful view, etc.), the property manager, Gulf Sands Rental, somehow managed to fall down on the job several times during our 72 hour stay. Despite all information (website, email, invoice, pamphlet in the condo) saying the office closed at 7pm, they inexplicably closed the office at 6pm on the day of our check in. This caused us to pick up our keys and information from the lockbox in front of the office, which would have been fine except for them forgetting our second parking pass. The "emergency" number also had no clue what to do in this situation (we were actually told to just "tell the security guard on duty", only to find out there was no security guard on duty). After spending the night hoping the car wouldn't get towed, we had to drive ourselves back to the office to retrieve the second pass in the morning. A reputable company would have brought it to us. On the morning we were checking out, we woke up to find a giant leak in the ceiling. Since we were checking out anyway, we drove up to the office to report the problem and show pictures. It was after 9 and shockingly, they weren't open yet. We had to, again, call the emergency number, which was, again, highly confused. Instead of doing anything useful, she tried to justify the office not being open by saying, "Oh, you know. It's Monday morning, sometimes it takes a while to get your coffee and unlock the door." As if it's totally normal to waste your customers time on their vacation because of a case of the Mondays. We received no compensation for the forgotten pass nor any apology for the weird office hours or the roof leak which soaked a good number of our belongings (thank goodness we didn't have any electronics out!). I'd stay in the condo again if Gulf Sands Rental is no longer in the picture. By a sheer lack of doing the basic elements of their job (showing up on time, leaving on time, giving the correct paperwork, etc.), they made our vacation a giant hassle.
