the forest primevil puctuated by the beautiful bay

  • 4 of 5

the drive in was impressive! 1500 ft of beautiful forest. Karen was a very pleasant owner. the house was comfortable and well supplied. we enjoyed the deck at the house and the furniture at the beach. water was clear, clean and beautiful but not warm yet. location was central to all of the sights of the northern lower penninsula, which made for great day trips. a handle or pull on the front screen door would have kept out the mice that left little tracks in the pantry (minor). we were very comfortable and pleased with the Eagles Rest on the Bay and will recommend it to our friends!

thanks for sharing your rental home Karen : )

weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Eagles Rest on the Bay for a weekend in the end of October. It was great! We have 3 little children so our life is usually very busy and loud! Staying at Eagles Rest was a much needed getaway. It was peaceful, quiet and beatiful with all the colors. It is set back away from any roads and is on Lake Michigan. We were welcomed with some champagne, cheese and grapes. We also recieved a 100.00 visa gift card upon arrival and were able to use it where we chose too. The house was very clean and had plenty of room. We are from this area in Traverse City so we already knew of our favorite places to visit and eat. We are spoiled because Traverse City has so many great places to visit. We were given a long, long list of movies that were available to us as well. This was very convenient so we didn't have to venture up to the movie store. The location of the house is between Elk Rapids and Traverse City which allowed us little driving time to both areas. Last, but certainly not least, we were able to cozy up next to the fire place for a quiet, romantic evening alone!! We definitely recommend this romantic weekend getaway to anyone and everyone!!

Great location

  • 4 of 5

This home is in a great location near Traverse City yet in a private secluded area. It is on a wooded lot with an obstructed beach view. The house is well stocked with the comforts of home. My only complaint would be the 1&1/2baths and poor water pressure. This made getting ready a real challenge even for 3 people.

Owner's Response: The water pressure has been checked out and taken care of.
