Condo, 1 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, 3 sleeps
About Luke Byrne
We just love hunting for great mid century and shabby chic furniture and stuff to put into our house and the two condos we own at the beach. Each piece has a story which is great fun.The renovation side comes from watching too many episodes of HGTV house hunters. We live in a small town on a golf course about 40 miles from the beach and get over to the beach every chance we can. We really work hard to make sure folks have a good time at the beach.
Luke Byrne purchased this Condo in 2008
Why Luke Byrne chose Saint Augustine
We bought the unit after the property market collapse and volunteered with other owners to turn the Ocean Village Club from a tired old beach complex to the best on the beach and recipient of many awards, including condo complex of the year for 2014 for the entire state.Truly rewarding to see the result. Warm family friendly environment where people say hello when they pass you in the complex.
What makes this Condo unique
The condo is decorated with a funky taste that makes you feel like you are at the beach. You can rent bikes at the Club entrance which are great for beach riding, restaurant runs, errands etc.

Cute, Beachy Condo
I loved this property! Small, but so cozy with a wonderful beachy feel. Close to the beach, restaurants, with plenty of places to shop nearby. About 10 minutes from almost all the local tourist attractions. A wonderful place to stay!
Enjoy St. Augustine
The condo had everything that you need for the making of a great vacation.
We planned on using the trip to relax on the beach in the morning and go in to old Town St. Augustine for the afternoon and evening. The long walk to the beach was made very easy with the rollable cart that was provided by the owner. There are two nice pools in the complex. The balcony was nice to sit on while drinking morning coffee even though it was facing the road instead of the beach. It took about 20 minutes to drive into old town.
My summary would be that this condo works well for vacationers that need a comfortable place to stay for exploring the town.
A few things to consider;
.....No elevator makes it difficult with luggage, groceries and beach items.
.....No view of beach
.....long walk through the complex to get to the beach
A must do while visiting St. Augustine is the sunset boat tour with Florida Water Tours.
Enjoyed our Stay
Unit was exactly as pictured and expected.
Thanks so much...come back soon!
Cozy Condo for 2
The complex is nicely maintained. The pools are very nice! The condo is small, but was a perfect fit for me, my husband, and pup. It is very cutely decorated! You can tell the owner takes pride in his rental. He put in a new fridge during our stay. I'm sure he will continue to update the condo. It is on the third floor - no elevators, but we didn't mind the stairs. It is over off of A1A but the traffic noises are minimal. To get to the beach we drove to the visitor parking and made the haul down to the beach. We would stay again, but if you are looking for something fancy this is not the place for you
Come back soon!
The property was beautiful
Overall it was nice, but the pamplet in our package said the going rate for the month of March was $1400.00 dollars,we paid $3600.00 dollars which is more than doubled and I don't understand why. We should be reimbursed .
Thanks for the positive comments on our condo.
I hope you enjoyed the new bicycles, beach chairs with the footrests, new television in the bedroom, new dishwasher and the increased internet speed that goes with fiber optics. Being able to stream Netflix to your tv can really help your watching experience. The original abstract art can also be enjoyable. We work hard to keep the condo current and enjoyable for ourselves and guests as well when we rent it.
The condos at the Club are individually owned and will vary dramatically in condition, price and duration available. Some do their own marketing and others rely on the Guest office to totally manage the rental of their condos according to what they are willing to do including monthly or long term rentals. Some keep them updated and others don’t.
We do not usually rent the condo for four weeks in a row as it limits our ability to use it. We are strictly a short term renta with a three day minimum. In your reservation, we agreed to a four week consecutive rental and explained we don’t rent by the month and don’t discount for multiple weeks. The price per week plus taxes and fees is the same price we have always charged and it is by the week and probably quite a bit more expensive then the rate you would get if you rented for three or four months.
As for four weeks in March, I went on this site last night and put in four weeks in March 2019 and found that one bedrooms in beach clubs such as ours that are available for that time period are quite a bit more expensive then what we charge. It looks to me that the rate you paid was more then competitive. My guess is if you think back, that’s what you found when you did the search for the four weeks that you booked with us.
I would recommend you do the same search and see what you get as it may lead you to believe you got a fair price.
