Quaint and clean
Loved the fireplace and the fact it’s a short drive to the local cafe and bait shop. If you need gas tho you better get it at Julian on main which is closest. Only downside was niehbor was sup
Quick family getaway.
The rental property was good clean and inviting my family enjoyed the location, weather. I would bring my family for another stay and recommend to my family and friends.
Perfect getaway from the City!
Wonderful view in 5 min walking distance to the lake. Also a quick drive to Julian. Had everything we needed/wanted, including firewood and starter materials. We will be returning and recommending to others.
Wonderful and Relaxing Weekend
We stayed at this house from Friday to Sunday. We saw a lot of wildlife and beautiful views of the lake. The house had dishes and cutlery to use for cooking and we brought our own food to cook. The furniture is all very comfortable, from the living room couches, beds, and outside chairs.
We would absolutely stay here again!
Trip included our year old granddaughter great views of lake and the wildlife roaming the property the memories of granddaughter just started walking all she wanted to do is walk around the house on the porch great time third year we came up and many more trips to carry on with
Jan 2-4 stay
Our families had a great stay. The cabin had everything we needed - extra bed sheets and comforters for the all the cots. My kids said the cots were very comfortable, I know for a fact that they were because I was kicked out of the bed one night. The coyotes or wolves were a little too close to the cabin. Their howling was startling but it was neat to hear the sounds of wildlife. We also saw a deer and wild turkeys roaming around the next morning.
The kitchen was fully stocked. There were simple things like measuring cups, a whisk, and griddle pan to make pancakes. I even noticed a slow cooker and a potato masher, lol. It was very thoughtful to have everything you might have at home - there in the cabin.
The lake is across the street. We saw TWO bald eagles! It really was a majestic sight. My family will always remember our stay. Thank you for the memories!
Ps not a fan of the restaurant on the lake. Kids chicken fingers were $7.95, it was one chicken strip cut in half with a handful of fries, lol.
Activities: Hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, boating, photpgraphy, bird watching,stargazing,snowboarding,sledding...and whatever else you can come up with!
Using the cabin as a basecamp, you'll be able to explore Cuyamaca Rancho State Park and Anza-Borrego State Park, Cleveland National Forest with thier many trails and viewpoints.
