Guestbook comments from the owner

Exceptional value for the rental of a house. House was modern with beautiful woodwork and a pleasure to look out big windows at beautiful mountains and pine trees. Beds were very comfortable and house was very clean. We liked how easy it was to get into town, about 7 minutes. Moose in the yard one day. The house was stocked with lots of extras that saved trips into town. House apparently just got WiFi which was nice for working on our computers. The owners were very friendly and prompt in answering all of our questions. We really want to come again when there is snow! Thanks for the great mountain experience.

Small stacker washer/dryer, radiant infloor heating, basic driveway snowplowing. Typical kitchen appliances, (no dishwasher), TV/DVD and VHS player, 2 CD players. Hi speed Internet, WiFi. Good cell phone coverage at house. Telephone hookup available for longer term rentals, extra charge. Baby child gear available: sleds, portacrib/sheet, booster seat, child toys and books. Property is well stocked with basic supplies, for cooking, cleaning, showering. 1 acre lot in quiet neighborhood. All wheel drive recommended for winter driving. 8 minute drive into town from the south. Nice to avoid all the traffic downtown. Not on a bus route to Breckenridge. Being on the south end of Breckenridge, it is easy to get back to Denver on Hwy 285 North (via CO 9) should I-70 be backed up with traffic. Beautiful drive, maybe 15 minutes longer.

A Great Breck Escape

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at Holly's place in Breckenridge! It has a great location, close to town for easy access to shopping, groceries, and restaurants, but removed enough to enjoy nature: terrific access to trails, clear star-filled skies, beautiful mountain views, and visits from foxes.

The non-traditional layout worked well for us as a couple with an infant, but as mentioned in the description, might not be a fit for multi-couple or multi-family rental groups that demand a lot of privacy.

Overall, we'd definitely recommend it!

Thanksgiving getaway 2016

  • 4 of 5

This house stands out in a few ways. We've stayed at quite a few vacation rentals and I would say this house had the best views of any place we've stayed at. Out of every window there was a beautiful view of either mountains, the woods or the stars. Also, this was the first time we brought our dog with us. He's 14 years old and it takes a lot for him to get excited, so we were thrilled to see him so playful upon our arrival. It was like he was 10 years younger the way he pranced around the sofa and through the kitchen which is one large room. The only thing missing in the living room was an area rug by the sofa. Our dog doesn't like laying on hardwood floors, plus it would have warmed things up a bit. Otherwise, we were pretty comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with most things we needed. The house was clean and Holly checked in with us upon our arrival and answered any questions we had. This rental was a good value and I would stay there again. Oh, make sure you have a four wheel drive car in the winter and beware of folks from Texas who don't know how to drive in the snow.

Nice and quiet with lots of trees

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our family for a nice weekend in the mountains. We were so close to downtown Breckenridge for shopping and dining. We loved all the trees and the feel of it being remote. There is a great trail head about 5 minutes from this property, Spruce Mountain Trail. The owners were very quick to communicate with us about the property and just made it very easy for us.

Little Mountain House in the Woods

  • 4 of 5

After a full day skiing on the slopes in Breckenridge, it is nice to have a ten minute drive away from all the hustle and bustle of a resort town. This house has wonderful windows and sky lights to take in all the nearby views. The hiking in the area is world class and trails are accessible from the backdoor. This is an outdoor enthusiasts dream location any season of the year.

Property is very clean and well kept. Highly recommend this home for your next Breckenridge or summit county getaway.
