Experience all the tropical wonders of the North Shore -- swim with the turtles, fish, snorkel, kayak, and surf. If you're brave enough, skydive in your back yard! Fall asleep to the soothing sound of the waves. Melt into world-class beds and luxurious amenities. Completely Remodeled in January 2005, Honu Hale II is an Upscale single story Hawaiian beach/oceanfront vacation home on the North Shore of Oahu, just 30 feet from the water's edge. Experience tropical paradise in upscale, luxury accommodations that deliver island living at its finest. If you're looking to spend your Hawaiian vacation in a small picturesque town in a secluded area, only 35 minutes from Honolulu, this is the place for you! It has a variety of excellent restaurants, and it's a great place for all water sports including snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, and kayaking.

Ultra Luxury Hawaiian getaway. Paradise Beach house. Home away from home. Unobstructed ocean views. World Class Beds. Top quality linens. No detail left unattended to. No need to even leave the property. Snorkel, kayak, swim, surf, boogie board, fish, walk, hike, relax, enjoy right in your backyard. Horseback riding, shell hunting, wind surfing, Luaus all nearby. Historic town of Haleiwa just minutes away. Dining, Art Galleries, shopping, all nearby. Gourmet Kitchen at home or dine in town just minutes away. Tropical birds and tropical landscape. Hear the ocean waves as they lull you to sleep. Outdoor jacuzzi. Outdoor warm and cold water shower. This home is approximately 2000 square feet.

Other favorite activities include walking on the beach, fishing, skydiving, horseback riding, tennis, golf, biking, and hiking the nearby end of the North Shore Road. Honu Hale is named after the numerous sea turtles that play in our waters. You can enjoy your dinner in the large waterfront backyard as the sunsets dazzle you and the cool ocean breezes gently caress you. Isn't this what a tropical paradise is supposed to be? Honu Hale is situated on the ocean, with unobstructed ocean views and an unbeatable quiet and private location. Come stay where the people of Oahu come to get away from the crowds. Mokuleia is on Oahu's North Shore, but is a secret to most. It's just 35 minutes from Honolulu, seven minutes from the town of Haleiwa, and 15 minutes from Hawaii's famous Waimea Bay and Pipline. There are no hotels in Mokuleia and we have empty white sand beaches for miles and miles. This is the Hawaii you dreamed of and thought you could only find on the Outer Islands.

A great horseback riding and equestrian center is just down the street. Enjoy the sunset every day in your backyard from the bubbling Jacuzzi® or on the rooftop deck.

Our backyard is your beach - an amazingly beautiful and peaceful setting of nearly private uncrowded beaches. Mokuleia provides some of Oahu's best and least crowded surfing. Most of our guests enjoy staying close to home and enjoying the ultimate Hawaiian Paradise. Within a 10 minute drive are fine restaurants, quaint shops, a marina for fishing and sightseeing, and North Shore's world famous surfing. Just a short drive from the nearly private beaches and sets of both popular TV series 'Lost' and 'Baywatch' (Hale'iwa). Honu Hale's location is also a great home base if you are interested in sightseeing. Conveniently located 10 minutes from the H2 Hwy, you can get across the island within 20 minutes.

No events, parties, or weddings allowed.

Wonderful!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This house was great and we highly recommend it!! There were 8 of us and it did not feel cramped at all. Plenty of towels (beach and bath), dishes, pots and pans etc...boggie boards, a canoe, a paddle board, all toys for the water. The hot tub is always on, so you just lift up the cover and get in! The beds are amazing. Linda was great! There are some board games, card games etc. in the cabinet by the TV. There was only 1 down side (in our opinion) which was that it does have one air conditioner in the middle of the house, but it didn't quite cool the rest of the house. With that said, we were there in August (very warm) and there are ceiling fans in every room which helped, but we also bought (and left) little tabletop fans for each bedroom that worked really well!!! We got to see a Sea Turtle AND a sting ray swimming in the water, off the back yard!! This house does have beach access, which is just down a few steps. There is a retaining wall built at the end of the yard, that you can sit on and just watch the water. You can swim in the back yard!! This was an amazing place! The town of Haleiwa is about 10 minutes away and has a Longs Drug store with food, drinks, toiletries all kinds of stuff, the town of Haleiwa also has food trucks, restaurants, shopping etc... We also found a Walmart and Costco in Pearl City on the way to the house from the airport. Hope this helps!!!

Exciting and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at Honu Hale II for a week and we all loved the location. We found the house warm and inviting. We watched skydivers land at the nearby small airstrip. There were long beaches in walking distance and a great choice of restaurants in the nearby town. Linda who welcomes you to the home could not make us more comfortable. We will return back to Honu Hale II again. Watching the mazing waves at this end of Oahu was fantastic. Thanks to the people who made our stay memorable.

Relax at this upscale North Shore retreat, but enjoy the whole island.

  • 5 of 5

This wonderful property is as nice as the pictures. The caretaker Linda is very available if you have questions or need suggestions.

The sound of the waves and the high end bedding gave many in our party the best nights sleep they've had in a while.

It's away from the congestion, but close to everything.

The kitchen had everything we needed for gourmet cooking or go to the many restaurants within fifteen minutes away.

If you want to go to the beaches they have everything you need so you don't have to rent.

We all made wonderful memories and we all agreed we would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful time - Family time

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Honu Hale II from September 19th to September 26th. We really enjoyed our stay. Linda, the house keeper, made everything possible for us to have the better time. The house is as beautiful as shown on the pictures. Since the house is located away from the croud, a car is a must. The island is big enough that we were driving around everyday. We got to see seals at Keana point (Even though it is close from the house, I recommend that you drive there, its a 10km walk without the drive).

Quiet and off the beaten path.....PARADISE

  • 5 of 5

Yes, pictures are worth a thousand words, but this house was perfect! We were met by Linda, she was available to answer any questions. The location is off the beaten path, and quiet. Still, you are close enough that it does not take long to drive anywhere on the island. What is the rush anyways, you're in Hawaii. The house has everything one needs, minus the food. There are so many things to do in the area, while there, our group sky dived, snorkeled, took a night time paddle board tour, Dole Plantation tour, and so much more.

With 9 of us in the house, we did not feel cramped. The house was very clean, the views from the back yard were beautiful, and there were beach toys for all ages. Each bedroom was well kept, and talk about comfortable beds! Each bathroom was roomy, and a full bathroom, at that. I would definitely return and recommend the house to friends and family. We did not eat out too often, we did enjoy Jerry's Pizza (Wailua) on our first night since we had not gone shopping. There are many food trucks in the surrounding areas as well. The town of Haleiwa (5-10 min drive) was touristy, but full of shops, restaurants, shave ice, and so much more.

Oh, a plus, for a small fee, Linda (Caretaker) will do some shopping for you so when you do arrive, you can have some of the basic food items. I recommend her service. I could go on, but I give this place five stars.
