I will try to sum this up: quiet, clean, full kitchen, BBQ on patio, 2 bathrooms..yes 2 bathrooms!!!, too many TV channels to watch and get this- full size laundry machines!!! Oh and I forgot, in the middle of Watkins Glen... All restaurants within short walk... the Glen itself is about a 2.5 minute walk. Owner answers the phone every time on first few rings... I have stayed here a few times so this is why I know this to be true. I could go on... coffee machine..microwave...full size fridge... starting to get the picture??? My Fiance Irina loves it here too!!! For us, this is the only place to stay in Watkins Glen...oh ps the racetrack is a short drive up the hill for you racers and fans alike... Enjoy!!!

Excellent Response and Service

  • 5 of 5

In planning for my daughter’s graduation I made reservations at the Madison Guest House in January. Originally, I was looking at the 3 bedroom suite but ending up booking the 2 bedroom suite as the 3 bedroom was not available. The owner (Travis) was very accommodating, was quick to respond to all of my emails and agreed to allow us to add a few extra people if need be and even advised he would adjust the nightly fee based on how many people would be staying on different nights. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the reservation. Again, Travis was quick to respond and almost immediately processed my deposit for return. Going forward, if our travels ever include a visit to Watkins Glen, I will definitely reach out to Travis and plan a stay at the Madison Guest House.

Perfect Spot for a Weekend in Wine Country

  • 5 of 5

I was drawn to the Madison Guest House when I started looking at places to stay in Watkins Glen almost immediately. The reviews were amazing and after staying there this weekend I would have to agree 100%. I had a group of 11 to accommodate -- a difficult task. The house was fantastic and was in a perfect location within walking distance of a number of bars and restaurants. The house was clean and spacious with more than enough room. Each of us had super comfortable beds to sleep in at a seriously affordable rate. Another huge pro for 11 women? Several bathrooms that made it a breeze to shower and get ready for our weekend on the lake.

Travis, the owner, was incredibly easy to get in touch with and answered every question I had leading up to our stay. He and his family also has the fridges on both side stocked with breakfast foods and drinks... One less thing we had to worry about.

Without a doubt, staying here was one of the best decisions we made and when the time comes to head back to Watkins Glen in the future I will make sure the Madison Guest House is available for the trip.

Memorial Day Weekend

  • 4 of 5

We had a college graduation so we were a total of 10 people staying at the house. It is spacious, clean, in a nice location and close to Main Street. Travis is a very nice host & left us breakfast supplies which was greatly appreciated! The beds were a bit soft for some of the older people but everything else was perfect!

Thank you Travis.

Great place close to town.

  • 5 of 5

Travis (owner) was very helpful when I had a few issues come up in the 5 months before the day of stay. He gets back to you quickly and is accommodating. We rented the entire house (both sides) and it was like staying at home. He had towels for everyone and everything. The beds were all very comfortable as were the pillows. The small part of the house has two bedrooms one is a loft. On the otherside it has 3 bedrooms. Couches and chairs in both, two porches with chairs.

Continential breakfast was bagels, fresh fruit coffee and oj. The house has everything a regular house would have, which was so nice. It is walking distance to food and shopping.

I highly recommend staying here for any event!

A wonderful place to enjoy family and friends.

Nicely located and and comfortable property. Anyone looking to spend a few days or a couple of weeks even would be very comfortable here. While there we toured a couple of the wineries and breweries along the lake and found the whole experience wonderful. The owner assisted nicely with suggestions and answers to our questions . Eat in our eat out, nicely set up kitchen and barbecue area as well. If you're heading to the Glen enjoy your stay at the Madison Guest house.

A Great place to stay in a Great town

  • 4 of 5

We needed room for 8 adults and Madison Guest House worked perfect. This was our 4th year coming to Watkins Glen, but this was the first time we stayed in town as we always rented up on the lake in the past. Being in town was an added benefit to our stay, as it was very convenient to be able to walk into down town every evening. This property also a lot more closer to Watkins Glen Race track, which was the purpose of our visit. Travis was easy to work with and met us at the property at check in to make sure everything met our expectations. A great property , in a great town , with a great race track.
