About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps 13, Put toobs in here

Interested in tubing or just kicking back for a restful vacation as you listen to the sounds of the river below the beautiful deck? If so, this home is perfect for you. It is located at Cliff View Condos (#7) on River Road near New Braunfels, Texas and sits on 400 feet of Guadalupe River frontage directly across from a beautiful cliff on the river at the old Gardo's campground between the 2nd and 3rd River crossings. You will have DIRECT RIVER ACCESS so it is perfect for playing or just relaxing as you watch others float in the river below. The pebble beach is nothing short of FANTASTIC!!! You can enter the river right off the pebble beach and exit at a variety of places up & down the river, there are shuttle services available to return you to the property. The pebble beach is also perfect for playing or just relaxing as you watch others float in the river below. Also if you enjoy live music, the property is short drive to River Road Ice House, & Gruene Hall.

It's a 3 bedroom with 2 sets of bunkbeds in one room, and one set in another (bunkbeds are all full on bottom and twin on top), and the master has a King bed. Furniture updated Spring of 2017. The sofa in the living room also pulls out into a full bed. You must bring linens and towels. We request that only 10 people stay in the house and four cars. There are 2 bathrooms in the house and an additional full bath off the carport. The house has a porch with furniture and a fan, a washer and dryer inside, a BBQ pit, all the basic essentials to cook with in the kitchen, and cable/internet. We do stock the house with toilet paper and paper towels at the beginning of the summer but please bring extra just in case!

There are toob rentals onsite (during Summer months) and next door at Gilligan's Island. A shuttle back from Lone Star Float house provides a perfect afternoon float trip. Additionally, there is a large rock beach in front of the house (maybe 75 yards) and a deep natural swimming hole there as well. The only thing separating you from the river is the driveway and rock beach. The view is from the patio is gorgeous and you may even spot goats at breath taking heights in the mornings. A large car port is the perfect spot to toss washers and catch a break from the sun. The beach is private as you are in a gated community with other vacation renters.

Beautiful home

  • 4 of 5

We have made multiple trips to the Guadalupe. This home provides all you need for a fun relaxing trip. There is lots of room and the furniture is comfortable. The front porch gets very warm in the evenings but there is nothing the owners can do to prevent that. It is fabulous in the mornings and at night though. The home is definitely worth the money.

Fabulous Family Fun

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our family gathering! Had plenty of room with comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and amazing view. We enjoyed floating the river and hanging out at the beach area. Watching the mountain goats in the morning was so fun and relaxing. The house was very close to the white water amphitheater for great concerts. The oven took forever to cook something and we never got the ice maker figured out, maybe they were just too high tech. That sure didn't stop our enjoyment of our fabulous weekend! I did numerous hours of research on properties around the area and was very pleased with the results of this property. I highly recommend this property for families. The police department did monitor the area in the evening for noise control.

Beautiful property but NOT FAMILY friendly

  • 2 of 5

We liked locatation and private access to river but gate was left open daily so anyone who wanted to come by and did so. We planned this for our kids and given where we stayed it was more for young people who wanted to party. Very loud at night and there had too be a sheriff there nightly. Overall the condo was nice but will not be back again.

Owner's Response: We regret that you and your family had a sub par experience. The sheriff is actually paid by our HOA to be there for the safety of our guests as well as maintaining order (i.e. noise issues). If there were concerns about noise or the gate being open, we could have tried to accommodate those concerns had we known. I will bring your concern about the open gate as well as presence of law officers to the HOA meeting this month. Thank you for your feedback.

Wonderful trip and great location

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house to celebrate my husband's 30th Birthday with a group of friends. It was a wonderful trip! The house was spacious and was in a great location (practically on the river). The house is right in the center of all of the fun. We floated the river both days. We also anchored our tubes and relaxed in the water right out front of the house. There is a short walk from your door to the water, which was very nice and convenient. Sitting on the balcony you can see the river and beautiful scenery. The drive in and the area around was so beautiful. We rented tubes at the place next door which was nice and easy. We all had a great time and the house was perfect for our group of 11 people. I look forward to returning!

Nice Place to Stay In Great Location

  • 4 of 5

This was a great place to stay for our group of 11. It had plenty of room and everything was as advertised. The owner allowed us to arrive at the place earlier than our scheduled check in to leave some things before heading out for a river float. The property was clean, secure, and well maintained. The local law enforcement was in the neighborhood to check things well into the night and even visited with us for a while. The river access was great for just hanging out or even for parking extra vehicles if needed. Our group floated three different sections of the river during our stay and this place was centrally located to all of them. I would definitely recommend staying here.
