Why Bill Clark chose Northern Michigan

When I would visit Traverse City I would always rent at Pointes North due to the location and its amenities. In 2004 I had taken interest in purchasing a few condos. My company Vash Investment Group manages property from a remote location. I will assure you that you will enjoy your stay at Pointes North.

Clean but outdated

  • 3 of 5

The room was clean, but outdated. We enjoyed our stay, yet a few more ammenities would have been nice. For example, the Keurig was fantastic, but only 3 K-cups were provided. We purchased our own. Also, we had to purchase our own dish soap and wand to wash the few dishes available, and dry them on bath towels. We ate out of kid-size bowls. Not a problem, just an inconvenience that could easily be remedied. A small dish rack, dish soap, and kitchen towel would have been nice. A few hooks in the front closet would be nice for hanging purses or kids coats. Overall, great view of the beach (nicely raked and well kept); clean, older pool; ample parking; small fridge and small microwave worked great. The king size bed was great and the tv and cable worked great.

Great condo and great property. Very clean and nice view of the water. Would return!

  • 5 of 5

This condo was easy to find, clean, comfy, and had a lovely balcony with a nice view. We weren't too far from anything and in walking distance to Walgreens and a great coffee shop. Would be excited to return!

Giving this property three stars for the location only.

  • 3 of 5

The location of the property is very good. Right on Grand Traverse Bay, with a nice beach. However, this is not a condo, it's a hotel room. It is not bad if you are staying one or two nights, but wasn't conducive for a week or any timeframe longer than that. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and a small sink. There is a Keurig One cup coffee maker, however, the coffee mugs were so big they could barely fit the unit and no toaster. Although we did not plan on cooking in the unit, it would've been nice to be able to have coffee and some toast or a bagel in the morning. The lobby did have coffee, and a toaster with bagels and muffins, but we were told those items for basically off-limits to us because we were renting from a private individual and not technically staying at the hotel.

Owner's Response: Thank you Gary for your honest review of our property. There are many benefits to renting from a private owner at a location such as this, one of which is the massive price difference between staying as a guest of Pointes North and a guest of ours. We just updated to a keurig coffee maker( we have had many requests for this which is why we changed over, and I will be addressing the toaster issue I think it is a great idea to provide this and will be purchasing some this week. So thank you for bringing this to my attention.) In the description of this unit we do spell out that this is a studio unit that includes a mini fridge and microwave (not a full kitchen). I am glad although that you enjoyed the location.

Good for 1-2 nights, wouldn't reccomend for extended stay

  • 3 of 5

Great location, clean, great views. Road/neighbor noise and noise from workers very loud. Kitchen had only small frige, small sink and microwave. More of a non-serviced (no trash or linen services) hotel than a condo feel. Good for 1-2 nights, wouldn't reccomend for extended stay.
