The floors were filthy the oven was filthy there were spiderwebs everywhere there was a broiler pan in the oven that had so much caked on stuff that it was completely unredeemable and should’ve been thrown away. The coffee maker barely worked… It shut off every 20 to 30 seconds and you had to keep pushing the on button to get it to make coffee! The bathroom floor was a filthy mess with curled up vinyl tile and big black ants everywhere. And to top it all off the thing that forced us to leave the property early was the water had shut off and we woke up early to meet friends in Ellsworth for breakfast before 8 o’clock and there was no water.
Loved the area, beautiful views and plenty of room for the family. The only complaints I have is the slow draining tub and the cabin could use a thorough cleaning.
Great old cabin in the woods!
This cabin is so charming and lovely. The fireplace was perfect on the cold summer night that we stayed here. The rooms were great for our family of four and we really enjoyed the scenery.
Like staying in a time capsule...
The cabin is just so quaint it is amazing. The fireplace that is in the living room was perfect to take the chill out of the air. If you are looking for a 5 star resort, this is not your cup of tea, but rather if you are looking to get lost in a tranquil setting with a view of the lake and the quaintness of a day gone by, this is your place and you wont be dissapointed.
Very nice, well kept cabin in quiet area. Easy access to Bar Harbor, Acadia. Our 2nd time at this cabin.
Great place to stay ! Close to everything but still secluded.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Parker Cabin. It provided us with a rustic atmosphere but at the same time the cabin had all of the amenities that one could possibly need and more. We chose to eat in (great grill) but there are many restaurants close by if you choose to eat out. We hiked in Acadia, saw the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain and drove south on RT 1 so see and explore some of the other seaport towns.
We would definitely recommend Parker Cabin. Thanks Jim.
